There is a thread here on he ZUG discussing this along with a kernel you'll have to search for that one.
Also here is a link to a ROM using a kernel with this try here https://www.oesf.org/forums/inde...?showtopic=6304

Is this for the 5600 or C700?

Do you want a kernel with the cache bug workaround turned on (which slows the CPU down by half) or off (which makes the CPU run at full speed but with potential unreliability? (My 5600 runs fine with the workaround off)

The Special Kernel on the following page is what you need if you want to turn the cache bug workaround off on a 5600 and hence speed it up:

NOTE: Only use the Special Kernel Version 1.3

This is a prob for the 5600
Mine is a pxa 250. It runs beautifully on the watapon Rom which, I think, has the bug fix turned off in the kernel.
If you want both speed and the bug fix the openzaurus kernel absolutely rocks.. better throughput on the data bU (lots better) floating point emulation, etc.
the problem hthere is that it is relatively new stuff, and all the roms have issues.  The opis rom is, I think, your best bet on openzaurs, and should work for you..

If you have a lot of time on your hands and want a full distro you could add pocket worksation over openzaurus and access it via xqt (some z6000 guys have posted stuff on pocketworkstation and xqt--i'm trying it on watapon right now.)
