Email Client With Microdrive
« on: December 01, 2004, 02:36:38 pm »
When I was using a 64MB CF card formated fat 16 I could store my email on it..  when I switched to 5GB microdrive formated ext2  the mail client won't let me save my mail there anymore.. is it because of the formatting? Should I try fat 32? Or is it the size?

Also I plan on going to Openzaurus once 3.5.2 comes out.. I wonder if that will make a difference or not.
SL5500 (Broken Screen, but still works)
SL6000L (Needs Sled, will pay $250)
64MB SanDisk CF (FAT16)
5GB Seagate Microdive (ext3 Flakey, sent back)
4GB Hitachi Microdrive (Fat16) replaced flakey 5GB Seagate
1GB Pq1 SD Card (Fat16)

Hi Sgtron,

Moderator: this is a general question that doesn't appear to be 6000L specific.  You might get a better response from in the General Discussion group. I'm moving the thread there.

cheers

I've had no problem doing this with the Hitachi 4GB Microdrive and FAT32.

I stuck with FAT32 in case I needed to PCMCIA into a Windoze system.
