The
pdaXrom page and the
FAQ page on the wiki could be invaluable resources, for pdaXrom users new and old, except that the dreaded
bit rot has overrun these pages, and they are sadly out of date.
As a new user to whom much is unknown, I find the forum to be highly useful. Unfortunately, some of the things I want to know about are in threads with dozens of posts -- which can be daunting and time consuming to read.
When this knowledge is distilled, it becomes more useful. As such, I intend to distill knowledge into the wiki as I obtain it. (However, if I do this all by myself, it is gonna take a long time!)
[I want to interject and say that editing the wiki is really easy. You have to sign up, and ought to glance at
how to edit a wikipedia-like wiki-page, and then you should be up and going in fifteen minutes.]
[I should also interject to say that I understand there are other useful pages, such as the
pdaXrom FAQ, and the
user contributed documentation. I think we are best served if Laze and Sash can focus on development, and not have to worry about the FAQs/HOWTOs; I also like the idea of making it easy to allow the community to update documents. That said, I'm happy to hear your opinions.]
Sir Isaac Newton said, "If I have been able to see further than others, it is because I have stood on the shoulders of giants." We all benefit from helping the community. So, I am asking if you would consider helping out with the wiki. Please stand up tall and help me vanquish bit rot and add light and knowledge to our realm in cyberspace.
Thank you,
Armagon
