I solved the problem by using debian kernel instead.

I think 'ifup wlan0 (already tried) cannot solve the problem. Checking 'dmesg' will be done later due to my laziness and different kernel which was subsituted before few hours - debian.

Thanks for very kind helps.

Thanks for a helpful tip, but still doesn't work. [-- no driver--]

Here is the windows driver of my wifi card. (will be deleted later.)
(i don't know what to do with the ipone win driver)
anyway, what is the driver used by debian? hostap_cs? pcmcia_cs? any hint?

on the other hand, if you say it works under debian, a quick way would be to use zImage (kernel) and modules from debian, (until someone that uses your card with ubuntu can help you):
[blockquote]- just copy the zImage to /boot/ folder (rename the other to zImage-ubuntu)
- copy the /lib/modules/2.6.24.4-yonngun/ from debian to /lib/modules/ in ubuntu
- then you'll have to change the TSLIB_TSDEVICE="/blablabla/" in .xinitrc or .profile (can't remember), read this, explains how to find the correct ts device: https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?s=&...st&p=181584 (ignore step 4)
[/blockquote]hope it helps

On debian the wifi card uses "hostap_cs". By the way, I will try your alternative plan.

WHAT SHOULD I DO???

try sudo modprobe hostap_cs
or the driver that debian use, if the command allows the card to be detected, do a
echo hostap_cs >> /etc/modules to force module load at startup

edit: thnx ofels, fixed the error

Help me!!

I have installed zubuntu 1.0 on my zaurus c-1000. When I insert wifi cf card, my zaurus behaves like "I don't know what this card is.". The card's led doesn't even blink!! (just turned on)

Typing "pccardctl ident" :
Socket 0:
  product info: "IPOne", "AirGate2000C", "Version 01.02", ""
  manfid: 0x0713, 0x0002
  function: 6 (network)

"pccardctl info" :
PRODID_1="IPOne"
PRODID_2="AirGate2000C"
PRODID_3="Version 01.02"
PRODID_4=""
MANFID=0713,0002
FUNCID=6

"pccardctl ls" :
Socket 0 Bridge:        [pxa2xx-pcmcia]         (bus ID: pxa2xx-pcmcia)
Socket 0 Device 0:    [-- no driver --   ]         (bus ID: 0.0)

On Yonggun's latest debian kernel  and pdaxrom beta1~3, the card worked perfectly.
I think this problem caused by missing of proper driver.

WHAT SHOULD I DO???

Now CF slot is working. ^^ But my wireless lan(I heard that it uses prism chip) doesn't work yet.

Here is the result of typing "pccardctl info"

PROID_1="IPOne"
PROID_2="AirGate2000C"
PROID_3="Verstion 01.02"
PROID_4=""
MANFID=0713,0002
PROID=6

Unfortunately, It seems to can't recognize CF devices like wireless lan card and CF memory.
After inserting CF memory card, I typed 'cd /dev' and 'ls'. I looked for device hdx but I couldn't find one.
Have you tried running modprobe pxa2xx_cs?
Loading this kernel module should get your CF cards working. Add pxa2xx_cs to the file /etc/modules to automatically load this module on next reboot.

Thanks! I'll try it.

Hi. Thanks for working on this great distro for zaurus. :-)
I have properly installed zubuntu kernel and rootfs on my c1000.
Unfortunately, It seems to can't recognize CF devices like wireless lan card and CF memory.
After inserting CF memory card, I typed 'cd /dev' and 'ls'. I looked for device hdx but I couldn't find one.

I want to get my CF device working on c1000.
Thanks for reading this. Happy new year!

Which version? You can use the beta 3 flasher to resize it, than install r198, if that's what you're trying to do.

BETA3.
(I just wanted to install apps at /)

Reading your quote I am interested in flashing r198.
Can I use both r198 and debian with kexec?

In pdaxrom, Is it possible to allocate the whole 121MB of NAND space as / on C1000?

I've tried it with eviljazz's kernel but failed.

Debian / A Problem With Sound

Which rootfs are you using? Titchy or EABI or ?
Can you configure sound in alsamixer?

I'm using EABI.
Of course, I set up the alsamixer and turned all the settings seem to be related to stereo on.

Could you execute "speaker-test -c2" in terminal or console?

I performed 'speaker-test -c2' but it outputs noise through two channels at the same time although it was made output one channel for a time respectively.
due to this weird problem I cannot enjoy music .

any solution?

does updater.sh attached work on c1000 too?
I am not absolutely sure, but you can always use the Angstrom updater.sh for Akita.
Another (bigger) question is whether the yonggun kernel works on C1000. You can take a look at the discussion of yonggun's blog here: http://yonggun.tistory.com/66
Thank you for the advice. It WORKS PEFECTLY!!!

So you got the whole setup working on your c1000?  What are the distros on your akita?

pdaXromb3 on Nand, debian 2.6.24 on 4GB SD partitioned into two partition (95% ext3 5% swap)
