For Sale / Wanted / For Sale: Sharp Zaurus Sl-c3200
« on: July 12, 2008, 04:14:00 am »
I'm selling my C3200  Since few months I don't have the time to use it almost at all. I'm too busy working, and I realised I had to sell it.

Now, for the unit - It's in great condition, was never dropped or hit, I used it rarely lately, battery holds a lot, few hours, with CF - a bit less. It has some scratches on the corners ( check the pictures - it's not very good seen there, but it's a bit white where it should be silver ) , NO cracks. I had screen protector till few months ago, but the edge of it got loosy and I had to remove it.

Included :

original packaging:
* 3 CDs
* books
* Sharp earphones (I think it's called like this)
* Charger
* Plastic stylus

additional:

* 3-in-1 pentopia metallic stylus
* screen dust cloth cleaner (no idea if it's correct to say it like that)
* 2 ADDITIONAL chargers ( not on the picture )
* CF wireless card Canon K30225 CF ( works great in pdaXrom, Sharp rom, I read it works on debian, but never tried it )
* CF Wired card Taxan iTax-LAN10 10 MBit ( not pictured , forgot to do it )
* USB Host cable for USB storage and external devices.
* 4GB MMC card ( I bought this for zaurus, and have nowhere else where I can use it, so I'm giving this away too )

I'm looking for 250 EUR ( = $395 ) for everything + the shipping cost to wherever your location is ( from my country it's totally different for each destination).

Please contact me via PM if you're interested, I can give you details. If you're interested also in putting pdaXrom beta3 on it or whatever, I can give you great advice, as I was making hundreds of packages and fixes for it.

I am running Kathrin and need libpangocairo-1.0.so.0 built.  Does someone have this ipkg already? or if not what distro could i use it from? Im not sure what pdaXrom is based on.

You are using beta3, and most probably downloaded my build of pidgin. It needs library called pango, which can be found here - http://z.drun.net/packages/pango_1.20.2_armv5tel.ipk . For any other dependencies, please check there.

Ok, managed to compile diary -

http://z.drun.net/packages/diary_0.3.1_armv5tel.ipk

you may need also

http://z.drun.net/packages/libgpg-error_1.6_armv5tel.ipk and
http://z.drun.net/packages/gpgme_1.1.4_armv5tel.ipk

Beware that pressing Enter or Space or going back with the arrows to the first position crashed Diary. No idea why, but I'm not investigating further ...

Starting "catfish" I get the following error message:

Code: [Select]
The required module optparse is missing
??????????

I've python 2.4.1 installed

Thanks
climber

I just checked, I have optparse.pyc in /usr/lib/python2.4 directory. Checking my /usr/lib/ipkg/info/ , I've discovered that it's in package "python" - I have the full python package installed, not python-core and friends ...

Lately, programs I actually build onboard only ... because i'm often moving around and I put z to do some good things

If you're interested in my exact crosscompilation setup, check "Cross compilation setup" section in this tread - https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=25792

Have a look at this.

Looks like they had the same issue.  The author says it is from linking to old versions of libraries.
Already found this. Unfortunately it led me to nowhere as I could not find where actually the problem could be, as I'm having exactly 2 library directories and 2 include directories and already checked them. Maybe (probably) I'm missing something. Will check when have some time (in a day or two max)

Damn ... having problem building this simple program "diary" ...

it fails with the following:

Code: [Select]
gcc -Wall -g -mcpu=xscale -mtune=iwmmxt -O3 -fomit-frame-pointer -fno-common -Wl,--allow-multiple-definition -o diary main.o interface.o main-window.o storage-manager.o add-link-dialog.o search-dialog.o printing.o link.o uri.o file.o note.o -Wl,--export-dynamic -pthread  /usr/lib/libgio-2.0.so /usr/lib/libsqlite3.so /usr/lib/libgtkspell.so /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so /usr/lib/libgdk-x11-2.0.so /usr/lib/libatk-1.0.so /usr/lib/libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.so /usr/lib/libpangocairo-1.0.so /usr/lib/libpango-1.0.so /usr/lib/libgmodule-2.0.so /usr/lib/libcairo.so /usr/lib/libgconf-2.so /usr/lib/libORBit-2.so /usr/lib/libgthread-2.0.so /usr/lib/libgobject-2.0.so /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so /usr/lib/libgpgme.so /usr/lib/libgpg-error.so -L/opt/native/arm/3.4.6-xscale-softvfp/armv5tel-cacko-linux/lib -lz -lXrender -lSM -lICE -lX11 -lm -ldl -lpthread -lrt
/usr/lib/libgpgme.so: undefined reference to `gpg_error_from_syserror'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

I've rebuilt libgpg-error, gpgme, but no luck so far. Looks like libgpg-error doesn't have it as text in any of the produced files except .h file

This is a madness ... better get a cheap small old laptop ( as I did - 12.1" 1024x768 fujitsu-siemens p3@600mhz,256mb ) and you will be happy. Z is just not for this.

Well on pdaXii13 I had to make several changes to the pcmcia network scripts to get it working to my satisfaction.  I think the scripts were updated properly in the newer versions of pdaXrom. I can post my diffs if it helps anyone.

Do it, please. I'm running a script each time I want connection and I don't have time to play with this by myself

Debian / Canon K30225 Cf Wifi

I'm using exactly the same Canon on pdaXrom beta 3 without any problem. Worked out of the box, so I doubt you will have any problem with debian.

Yes ... who did you asked?!? There's no activity on pdaXrom mailing list _at all_ . I (was) one of the developers, but - sorry to say that, pdaxrom newer than b3 is a dead cause. Because noone is working on it, and because the builder suxx big time. The most error-full app I've ever seen. I managed to build correctly only ONCE. And of course - I gave up.

So I doubt there will be new version at all. It's just dead. If you want newest and coolest stuff - go to angstrom, debian or poky.

Beta 3 with all the packages I do and upgrades, works great for me. I wish there was at least 256mb of ram ...

Please, try it and tell me if you encounter any problems, mismatch or do not understand what I've written  I will then fix it.

Oh, yes, and I don't take any responsibility for any damage you may have  This works great here, but might not work for you. No idea why
