One problem though - that can work for ToDos and Contacts,

but what do you do with all the people at work who keep sending you Outlook appointments ?!

Still sitting on the fence between the Cacko and the pdaXrom.

Main barrier - sync to Outlook XP (calendar/contacts) at work.

Any solution/workaround please ?

I also use the MAC filtering as well, but the router doesn't accept MAC fiters with empty names.

How do I setup Z's Network Name please ?

I'd like to restrict the access to my wireless router only for my laptop and Z,

the router doesn't accept Z's default empty network name.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / On the X11 fence

Hi,

I'm currently using Cacko 1.21b on my C760 and loving it (Thanks PDAX11 folks!).

Some question please:

1. What would I gain in moving to the X11 ROM besides the coolness factor ?

2. Will I need to reinstall and reconfigure again all my apps and config files after the X11 flash (GAIM, Kismet, wlan, ethernet and bluetooth setups) ?

I used to write in Motif for X11 back in college and have warm memories, not sure I'll go back to it again though ;-)

Hi,

Got my Zaurus couple of weeks ago, lots of thrill so far.

However my BT setup doesn\'t work yet - please help !

I\'ve got C760, Cacko 1.2.1b, Ambicom BT2000e (recognized), Siemens S55.

Configuration:
  Phone: *99***1#
  Init string: AT+CGDCONT=1, \"IP\",\"internet\"  (that\'s what my provider gave me)

When I press connect, it asks for a \"password for Dial-Up\", I give the PIN for pairing with the phone,

the phone asks for the PIN also (so they are talking with each other anyway), I enter it - is that part right, that\'s how I am supposed to pair the devices  ?

and then the Zaurus gets stuck at the \"Initializing Modem\" dialog.

Any tips please ?

I\'m in chip (IC) design, also 33 originally from Moscow/Russia like the original poster (179 then FUPM Fiztech).
Now living in Israel.

C760, running Cacko of course !
