Windows Issues / Nokia Phone & Qtopia Deskop

I've tried going around.

That's what i've done.

- I've sync my Nokia 6310i with Oxygen Phone Manager.
- export Contact list from Oxygen to CSV file
- i've installed Palm Desktop (Palm equivalent to Qtopia desktop)
- Import CSV file do Palm Desktop
- Export from Palm Desktop to ABA file
- In Qtopia Desktop i've tried to load the ABA file, BUT the Qtopia crash.

Does anyone suceffuly import ABA Palm files to Qtopia Desktop??

Hello

I have a SL-5500, and i think i'm ready to try OZ.
Reading installation instructions (http://openzaurus.org/wordpress/installation/sl-50005500/) i know i should select the appropiate zImage.

But in my Zaurus "System Info", i've get information that i have 28 MB memory and 32 Internat Storage.
But i doesn't find any zImage for me: zImage-collie-28-32.bin.

Maybe i've getting the wrong information.

Any help??

Hello everybody,

I Have a Zaurus SL5500 and a Nokia 6310i.

Using Oxygen Phone Manager i've read all contact info from my Nokia.

Oxygen Phone Manager let me export my contact list to: Excel; CSV file; Text File (tab delimited);  Text File (fixed size); HTML File; SYLK; RTF; DIF; XML; dbf and VCard file.

My Qtopia Desktop (version 1.7.0) only allow import Palm Contact (.aba file).

I just want to find how can i convert contact info between one of files from Oxygen Phone to Palm Contact file.

Anyone can help me with that??


QTopia Desktop has "External Synchronization Plugins", but it only have Outlook. There are new plugins?? Where to find??

My version of QTopia Desktop is from 2003. There is any new one?? Where to find?? I've looked in Trolltech site, but no luck.

I'm interested in sync (or just copy) my adrees book from Thunderbird to Z 5500.
But i can't download your script. i would like to try it.

Googling tha net i've found this python script that does what is supposed to: http://www.fifi.org/doc/sylpheed/tools/ldif-to-xml.py

Now i have the addressbook.xml, but i cant find where to put it.

Any help...

I've tried to copy it to /home/root/applications/addressbook.
I open the app but the contacts doesn't appear. when i go to the directory, the preavious file REappears.
I cant' find the right place to put it

Tb tens um Zaurus 5500?? e que tal?? que tens feito com ele...

I'm looking at the ROM from TheKompany (http://www.thekompany.com/embedded/rom/).

It seems really good, in all ways - File Tab for instance...

Questions about this ROM:
- Is it possible to send files via InfraRed directly to SD/CF card??

- If i install Packages directly to SD/CF, the files will be mixed with documents, etc etc...??

I have a SL 5500 with Sharp ROM... and i dislike certains things.

So i'm think in change the ROM.  And i want to know a little better others ROMs. I'll like and dislike thing in all ROMs, so i want to know the Pros and Cons of all of them to make my choice.

Somepoints i'm curious are:
CF WiFi Detect / Free Software / user firendly desktop / possible configurations / ...

Hy,
(Maybe this is a old topic but i cant find a way to search several words, instead of a sentence)

What i would like to know is the Advantages / disavantages of all ROM avaible for Sharp Zaurus 5500 - Facilities, Security, features, etc etc...

This will help me (and others) to decide what is the best ROM for each function.

Hy,

My question will seem stupid, but here it goes...

Im very newbie with Zaurus, but i want to change to OZ ROM (to try to put Asus WL110 to work).

First read flash instructions - http://www.openzaurus.org/oz_website/content/installguide

   1.  Download zImage file. Rename it to "zImage"
   2. Download initrd file
   3. Place both files on your compactflash card
   4. Flash

And now i cant find the file initrd needed. I know this should be really easy, but ...

Thanks for the information.

But that means that i need to change ROM??


I'm new with Zaurus, and i don't have the know-how enough to do an operation like that.... not yet.

Any other way will be good...

I know that some people in this forum have managed to make ASUS WL-110 work with Zaurus.

I Have Zaurus  5500 and a Asus WL-110... but i can't make it work.

Can anyone help me make my zaurus better??

Static IP doens't work neither.

In my Acess Point log's, i cant see reference too Zaurus WiFi MacAdress.

So.. they aren't comunicating...

My A.P. is working with Laptop, so the problem is in Zaurus
