Archos forum / Audio Quality
« on: May 01, 2007, 09:20:15 am »
Hi -

I am considering using the Archos 504 (or 604) as my PMP.
Thinking about my desktop system, though, the sound quality
was improved exponentially after LADSPA was installed
(for the aqualung music player, btw).

The sound is amazing... do you know if it is possible to install
LADSPA plugins and/or a music playing program on the Archos?
It would be great to have high quality audio in a small device
like this -- it would take a fair amount of the workload
off of the desktop as well.

Thanks in advance for your ideas...

Hi Yanwu,

Nice pictures.

I must confess, your lack of existence prior to this thread
makes me a bit... skittish.

Thanks again for the pix, if anyone else wants to buy from him/her,
please post feedback from the transaction.

Thanks.

You know, I've been considering that...

Thanks for the reminder, spaul. Good to know
that they actually provide customer assistance.

FWIW pricejapan sells 860s for 370 with shiping.  I had a very good experience with sending mine back to japan for service through them.

No, I haven't received any PMs from you.

You can also post them directly to the forum by
using the "Attachments" feature. It is directly
above the "Add Reply" button when you reply
to this message.

Just click the "Reply" button on this page, then
write your message. Then just before you click on
"Add Reply", you will see a section called
"File Attachments". Use it the same way you would
for email attachments.

You can't miss it. Thanks in advance for the pics.

Hi Yan,

Please post pictures. I wouldn't mind if you
took the unit out of the box in order to
take photographs.

As I wrote in the PMs, I wouldn't buy a pair of shoes
that couldn't be tried on first. And you just joined today.

Looking forward to pictures of the C1K.

Hi,

I have an SL-C1000 brand new for sale. I'd like $280.- + shipping for it.
With it comes a Piel Frama leather cover and the invoice from www.trisoft.de

I live in Switzerland and you?

Kindly

Yan

Thanks for the tip, albertr.

Still looking for a c860, too.

If anyone has one in good condition
for $300, I'm still interested.

Not sure what's your budget, but pricejapan.com has C1K's for $379 (shipped), and its price may drop further if/when the new Zaurus model is announced.

Hi,

I am looking to upgrade from the SL-5500.
Was considering a 6000, but the price makes it
something of a collector's item...

Interested in a C860,
good condition,
at Srono's price, $300.

Thanks in advance.

For Sale / Wanted / Wanted: Sl-6000 At $300
« on: January 29, 2006, 10:00:03 pm »
If it's so desirable, I wonder why the 6000 is so hard to find...

And the reason for looking here first is because of
the eBay scams. Their misbehavior doesn't mean that the
price is wrong -- it means that they know what people
want to pay, and are trying to capitalize on that.

With that in mind, $300-$350 may actually be a good price
for an honest person who wants to sell his/her used SL-6000
quickly. That was my situation the last time I bought
an SL-5500 on these boards a couple of years ago.

If anyone has an SL-6000 at around $300 that they want
to part with, I'd like to hear from you.

Thanks!

. . .

More than $300 is overpriced, considering that
you can get a c-1000 on ebay for "like $500-$600".
And that's with a wireless card.

If anyone actually has a 6000 in good shape
for about $300, let me know, i'm still in the market.

===

Edit: The Zaurus C1000 can be found for about $400.
Anyone paying more than $350 for a used SL6000
is walking into a scam... unless the 6 has a ton
of extras thrown in.

Hi-

Found my last Z [the 5500] on this board.
Time to upgrade.

Looking for an SL-6000, in good condition
at about $300.

Original software CD is a must,
cradle/extras/accessories are bonus.

Best ways to reach me are via Email/PM.

Thanks in advance!

Security and Networking / D-link Air 660w With Sharp 3.1 Rom?

The MAC adress should be printed on the card. It is on mine. On my SL-C860 with Cacko 1.22 I had to disable Auto-connect to make it work.
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=66589\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Hi Crownsilver, just to let you know, I found the MAC address... hidden in plain sight.

And the Z can connect now. Happiness is.

Thanks.

For anyone else who may have the same question:
The MAC address is called the "Node ID" on the back of the card, located above the barcode and below the "FCC Tested to Comply" box.

Security and Networking / D-link Air 660w With Sharp 3.1 Rom?

Iv got the same card which works fine on tkc v1 (a 3.1 based rom)

One thing though the first ROM I downloaded was corrupt and some networking bits didnt work are you sure this image is OK or is this the first time youve used it?
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=66603\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Yes, the first timeI've used this ROM. But if it was corrupted, wouldn't that
render the whole ROM useless, rather than destroy a certain part?

And this ROM was downloaded directly from Sharp [http://www.myzaurus.com/lic5500v31c.asp].

---------

Update: With the MAC filtering adjusted, the sl-5500 can connect.
