I'm high bidder for the one you mentioned (steer clear people, this one's all mine ) but now there are 3 others as well:this one is new in the box, currently at $56, this one has a buy it now price at $500 for the impatient and finally the craigslist guy from los gatos is putting his new in box 6000L on ebay and stil hoping to get $800 for it... Not gonna happen I suspect ...

On the subject of X11 and the 6000
pdaX has said....maybe (more or less)
GPE on OZ brings up an issue. Obviously some of th QT apps we all love are not on GPE. It would be worthwhile to find, catalog and incorporate them, or equivalents.
zroadmap and zbedic come to mind. I know there is a "roadmap" that could probably be used, and there is mention of a "Qbedic" on pdaxrom. this stuff really needs to be tracked down and moved into OE, otherwise gpe ends up being cool, but empty. It seems like that is just the sort of thing a community like this would be good at.
On the other hand, there is a ton of great software for opie, and xqt is a viable x solution. maybe the most realistic solution is to use xqt to run x stuff that has no real equivalent in opie. either way, as OZ moves toward stabilty the "what apps run where?" issue should probably be worked out.

QuoteSo is the G2 for the tosh e800 the one to get?QuoteI like NuShield.
In this instance, I don't. Granted, it's not billed as being for the 6K, but it is billed as being for the Tosh e800. Unlike the G2, the NuShields have a slight narrowing at top and bottom, with a wider area in the center. The center area fits, but there are tiny, sliver-sized gaps along the lateral edges at the top and bottom--very bad for a non-adhesive SP that will trap dust underneath and sandpaper your screen! :x
How has the quality and feel been since you've been using it for months.
G2 still doesn't have 6K listed.

Hi there,
Does anyone know how to reset the root password on an SL6000L if you've lost it. There's no data on the device so doesn't matter if I have to do some kind of hard reset as long as I can get back in as root again?
Many thanks
