Sorry, I am lost here. Anyone can give step-by-step installation instruction. I am having Logitech WebCam + C3000 with usb host cable.

2nd question, what software should I run for the webCam on Zaurus?  Any good video conferrencing software available between Zaurus to Window base?

thanks for reply. My problem here is the 3000 does not recognize at all the usb2.0 devices. It's fine if the speed is 1.0  

any idea how to make my 3000 recognize usb2.0 device.

My SL-C3000 with cacko beta does not recognize external USB 2.0 devices (Pen-Drive/HDD etc). But it does support for USB1.0. Is that anyway to let my C3000 communicate with USB2.0 device? Please advice. Many thanks.

What is the freeSpace needed in my SD Card to backup C3000's NAND? I am using 1GB SD Card and it always said not enough space. Please advice.

Windows Issues / Intellisync Crashing W/C860

I've reset my SL-C3000 recently. before reset, the Intellisync work fine. After factory reset SL-C3000, the Intellisync getting problem.  IS4SL.exe - Application Error (same problem). I've reinstall Intellisync, not work. Please help!

OpenZaurus/Opie/Qtopia / rotation problem

I am also facing the similiar problem. Now my 3k always in PDA view mode and when I click on rotation, it does nothing!

How can I fix it? It just happen just now and I've tried reboot and Cold reboot (click on the reset button at the battery side)  Doesn't help at all.

Please give me some solution. Thanks

dmesg doesn't show any message when i plug in the usb drive. I have not try on linux pc yet but it work on window pc. the c3000 usb is version 1? or version 2? thanks. let me know if you know any driver/module install to make this work. Thanks.

I bought a Kingston DataTraveler II USB Drive (256MB) Hi-Speed 2.0. When I plug into the usb host cable that connected to my C3k, the zaurus CANNOT detect any usb-storage!!

I tried to use other low speed USB drive, my zaurus can detect it and no problem at all.  

I've tried to use this Hi-speed Kingston usb drive in window, no problem at all.  It only giving problem at zaurus. I tried using mount command line or automount usb module also didn't work.

Please help and advice. thanks.

I am having a 3000 and 860 model, also facing problem on accessing public Wifi Network. But my IBM laptop is working fine. Compared the 2 settings are the same. Wondering why Z so "special" and cannot access public wifi network when i on the move!  This is the Main Objective I buy Z... Please advice.

Sharp ROMs / Wifi Problem

z860 running Cacko Rom 1.22 + hotFix + Corega WifiCard

I can connect to my office Wifi network (WEP enable), but ...

- I FAILED to connect to a Wifi network without SSID / connect using my laptop no problem.  Any idea?

- I FAILED to connect to a public Wifi network with SSID, and I tried to use my laptop to connect to this public Wifi network with SSID, no problem.  Wondering why my Z cannot connect!

Please help, I need to travel this week and thinking to bring along Z to access wifi network outside.

Any idea which software do resize/rotate big photo in Z? say I directly import from digital camera.  I tried imagemagick_5.5.3-1_arm.ipk, seem like not working and no interface and the file is very big, nearly 4MB.

I am also facing the problem of kino2_0.4.2_arm.ipk, bvdd_0.1.0-1_arm.ipk, mplayer-bvdd_1.0.1-1_arm.ipk & sudo_0.1_arm.ipk on C3000.

After installed, I can play avi, wmv file, but cannot FF, cannot use Slider control, cannot fullscreen and sometime will hang my machine.

I was wondering why Z doesn't come with a good multimedia player that can play most of the file types. Don't you think multimedia is a major requirement on handheld device?

Please help if you know how to solve my problem. Thank a lot.

Accessories / Usb Host Cable

I am now seeking for an USB host cable for my SL-C3000.  I would like to direct connect USB devices to zaurus.  What should I take note before buying the cable? How could I confirm that the cable is the right USB host cable?  Because I saw a number of USB cables from the shop. It looks similar and the socket is fixed.  

Please advice and thanks.
