OpenBSD / Zbsdmod.o + Kernel 2.6
« on: October 14, 2006, 08:11:21 pm »
hello

i installed openbsd with cacko because i really wanted openbsd. but i can't get network while i'm under openbsd because USB-network don't work and my wifi card can't work too (planex GW-CF11X , there is a topic about this card and openbsd... it looks like i should forget this card).

the problem is that openzaurus is the linux zaurus version that's the best for my purpose (openBSD with network would be better). But, OZ runs with a 2.6 kernel... and the zbsdmod.o only works with 2.4 kernel.

i wonder if someone knows a way to make "dual boot" OZ-OBSD ... if there is an unofficial zbsdmod26.o or thing like that, in order i could work with openbsd, and boot OZ to have the network sometimes.

i've got a sl-c3100 ...
OZ  /   -> /dev/hda1
OZ /home   -> /dev/hda2
fat partition   -> /dev/hda3

openbsd slice ->  /dev/hda4   (divided into :
                                               wd0a -> /
                                               wd0b -> swap
                                               wd0d -> /usr
                                               wd0e -> /home

to resume, my only hope is to be able to start between  openzaurus 3.5.4.1 (kernel 2.6) and OpenBSD.
if someone please has a clue...
have a nice day

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Sl-6000, Pdaxrom
« on: June 16, 2005, 07:06:29 am »
I'm ok with you.
I make a nand restore with the guilhem rom (with or whithout qtopia) and after i flash with pdaxrom.
I don't understand why it doesn't work with me...
I have repeat the operation 5-6 times.

I redownload kath-tosa-rc10, and retry...

yeah, it's a joke... now, it's working, i've just move the sys0006.dbk to  an SD , and restore, reflash, it's working...
cool
sorry, for that.
PdaX seems to be the nicest rom i've ever seen.

Thanks for answers and i'm very sorry

Hi all,
Today I tried to install pdaX without success. I don't understand...

I try like:
https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showt...c=12743&hl=6000
and
https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showt...c=13048&hl=6000

I've seen there's pb with the nand tools. I have try more the install of guilhem's rom (success) and flash the rc10.tosa (no success).
There's no reboot?!?

When I open shell via the installer, i'm going to the /boot/ and see nothing but i'm not sure to be in the /root of the rom. Dmesg seems to be dmesg's installer, i see no error.
The rc10.tosa is dating: 16 may 2005
I've seen some people have install it since that date.

I don't undesrtand.

Any suggestions?

hi all,
Is there anybody who's got sl-6000 can sync and nat with any bsd?
I've upgrade my system to have no problem with the new driver cdce. It doesn't work too.
Kernel attach my zaurus on ugen0 but don't attach the cdce driver.
And I don't find other solutions....
Have you got one?
thanks a lot

Sharp ROMs / Nand Restore
« on: March 04, 2005, 12:47:08 pm »
hi,
After apply some changes on my sl6000L, i've got obligation to restore the nand. I delete my nand (clear my rom) by error. I put syst0006.dbk on two differents CF format in fat. When i try to restore nand, i got "not exist file".
Someone have ever got this problem and find a solution?

I've read the zaurus can't read the good file on some CF:
  <<However, when you get to the point where you want to restore the backup, the unit simply says the "file does not exist". It is there, it is valid, but the retore software just does not see it. We don't have a clear picture as to which cards will or will not give this problem. Only way to test that we know of is to try and restore it.>>
 thank for any answer
