Cosmo Communicator - Android / New firmware released and CODI version.
« on: March 22, 2021, 06:19:30 am »
As subject and after a nudge from #planet-devices new firmware released. After it's installed a new CODI is also available.

I found the CODI install needed airplane mode, DND, wifi and bluetooth off after CODI download.

Cosmo Communicator - Android / Re: Keyboard Bounces
« on: March 22, 2021, 05:57:42 am »
Hello,

also as on my Planet Gemini my Cosmo Communicators keyboard often bounces.
Any Idea how I can fix this problem? Or is this a regular problem of the hw?

Seems to affect the '2' key on mine, bashing it a few times seems to sort it. Also bottom left area of keyboard, 'Shift' intermittently doesn't register, again a few bashes of the key are needed. Perhaps dust/dirt under the keys?

Cosmo Communicator - Android / Google Pay and V22 update..

Hello,

Am I right in thinking that Google Pay was broken on the Cosmo? After updating to V22 this morning it now is working OK.

OK, updates seemed to install OK. CODI resource and firmware both failed on first attempt at 0% but retry worked OK.

Bit early to know yet about anything broken.

Firmware seemed to install OK. CODI resource failed first try at 0% but retry now at 59%.

That's with Duraspeed off, DND and airplane mode.

Is it just for me, or has the latest update stopped the keyboard controls for the kb backlight from working?

Just checked. They are still working for me. Shift+Fn+N or B

Must have been my inability to hit the right keys in the dark stymieing me there.  However, I am reasonably sure Fn-space for voice assistant and Fn-enter for Phone are no longer working.

There is a setting for whether Fn-space activates the voice assistant in Settings>Cosmo settings...

Which makes no difference on my device.

But does on mine, but also causes Nova Launcher settings to appear.

(Let's hope the thread police don't see this!)

Cosmo Communicator - Hardware / Auto-rotate.

Thanks for this info.

Your screenshots seem to make Tasker look a bit complicated. Do you find it quite easy to use?

Steve.

Great, thanks guys, just what I wanted to see, it's not just mine.

I'll try a query to Planet Computers.

Hello,

I'm looking into a Cosmo autorotate problem, could someone look in Android settings, Accessibility, and in the Interaction controls section see if there is an Auto-rotate screen setting?

On my Gemini there is, but not on the Cosmo. Thanks.

Steve.

Cosmo Communicator - Hardware / NFC / Payment Experiences?

Excuse me for sticking my nose in, but as to working with cover closed, could having the payment app able to run in background be a fix?

Cosmo Communicator - Android / Bluetooth Watches

Thanks to everyone on this topic and to vader for the detailed instructions.

My Pebble was regularly disconnecting on the Cosmo but was never a problem on my Gemini.

After reading vader's post I disabled battery optimisation for the bluetooth app, same for the Pebble app and under DuraSpeed allowed Pebble app to run in background. I did not have to disable DuraSpeed totally.
