Cosmo Communicator - Android / HTML support when writing in AirMail

VERY interesting. FairMail might be exactly what I'm looking for, especially if the rich text support is somewhat comprehensive and it's reasonably landscape-friendly. As I am HOPING my Cosmo will arrive really soon now, I might hold off testing until it arrives. Thank you for the tip!

You might also want to consider SimpleMail. It's actually a fork for FairMail. It's in the Fdroid repositories. That said, I couldn't let your post pass without making a plea that HTML email is the bane of all that is still sane and good on the Internet. While you point to an interesting case, sending detailed instructions with embedded images, realize that you have no control over the recipient's email client. Especially where people start using tables in HTML email, you can actually end up inverting the order of content. If you have something that must be displayed in a particular way, you're probably better off sending a PDF attachment. My guess is you are aware of most, if not all the issues with sending HTML email. I just felt compelled to try to convince you not to give in to the dark side.

Cosmo Communicator - Linux / Debian not booting

After trying twice doing everything on the Cosmo, I downloaded the installer file on a desktop computer (with Ubuntu), formated the sd-Card there with Gparted to FAT32 and extracted the file on the SD-Card (connected via USB-C). Then everyting went smoothly.

If you need a non-english keyboard-layout, the command-line string posted by Michael in the indiegogo-Thread works like charm!

Good call LinuxGuy. Bottomline: if you are having issues, try something other than Google Files to extract the installers. I think ArchiMark had a similar experience (used something other than Google Files). My guess is Google Files says the extraction is complete when it isn't.  I used your approach. Extracted to the SD card over USB-C.

Did you format your microSD card as FAT32?

As for extracting, I had to install a 3rd party file manager program to extract file to the card.

Yes, formatted as FAT32. Recovery finds the installer fine, no error installing, and I get the Debian splash for a moment. Panning through the recovery log, nothing really jumps at me. I have it partitioned 60/60.

Next tree I am barking up is that I downloaded the installer zip on Linux. I will try it on a Windows box. Shouldn't be an issue but it's the only thing I can think of other than my being cursed or something.

Maybe the Debian file didn't download properly?

You were right! I formated my SD-Card, extracted the archive properly and everything worked without any issue!
Love Linux on the device ... its right what I wanted.

What were the steps you followed? I've downloaded the zip a few times, formatted the microSD, extracted it using the Google Files app on Android, installed (seemingly OK), but won't boot. Did you extract it using something other than Files?
