Gemini PDA - Android / Android 8 battery drain

Sorry if this has previously come up, but I can't find it any where.

I have just upgraded my 4G X27 gemini to Android 8.1 (early 2019 image), and now have the battery draining in a small fraction of the time it used to.

Is there a fix for this, or a way to return to Android7?  I have not rooted the instrument, but have Linux as secondary boot.

Thanks.

Do you have sim card? If not, put your Gemini into airplane mode. This should prevent Android from looking for GSM networks, which might be draining your battery.

Gemini PDA - Linux / closing and opening lid makes system crash
« on: August 02, 2019, 12:19:49 pm »
When I close and open lid, then the system crash. I can see the gemian-lock screen. The screen flickers a bit, the gemian-lock is able to notice one or two keypresses and then it is completely dead.

This is in LXQt environment using the latest firmware (from May).

Note, that if I simply run `xset dpms force off` - no issues.

Kali Linux for Gemini has been updated to 2019.1!

You can download and install it using the usual partition tool - support.planetcom.co.uk/partitionTool.html

Many thanks to Re4son for the hard work.
