This C1000 is in excellent condition, I just want to sell it immediately. It comes with a min-a host cable, a mini mouse, 1 2gb sd card, 1 512mb sd card, a card reader, the sync cable, a Planex cf wifi card, all of the original manuals, the cd, and the original box. There is no catch, this is really cheap, I just need to sell it immediately.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Sd Formatting Trouble
« on: January 31, 2008, 03:52:49 am »
Hi there,

When I try to format me new 2gb sd card(mkfs.vfat -F 16 /dev/mmcda1), I get this warning:

WARNING: Not enough clusters for a 16 bit FAT!mThe filesystem will be misinterpreted as having a 12 bit FAT without mount option "fat=16".
mkfs.vfat: attempting to create a too large file system

Is there a maximum partition size that I'm exceeding?

Also, when I try to mount the partiton(mount /dev/mmcda1 /mnt/card), I get:

mount: Mounting /dev/mmcda1 on /mnt/card failed: Invalid argument

By the way, I'm doing this stuff from `Konsole` under Cacko. The card was still read/writable using my card reader connected to my laptop, but when I tried getting the Uboot stuff to work, the lights never stopped flashing. Any advice(besides grow a brain)?

Thanks,

Matt

4 months old -- like new. Comes with the following:

1 Linksys WCF11 wifi card
1 Sandisk 256mb sd card
1 Sandisk 512mb cf card
2 EL-Bl06 lithium-ion batteries(in addition to the EA-BL08 that comes with the unit)
1 CE-BC21 battery cherger(works with EA-BL06 and EA-BL08)
1 extra ac adapter from old sl-5500
1 Body Glove carrying case

And everything that came with the unit minus the stylus. I'll throw in a couple of replacement styli, but I guess you would have to buy one elsewhere if you wanted it to fit correctly into the unit. I'll ship the unit in its original box with all of the documentation and warranty papers.

$700 + shipping.

Email me at mhightower@ea.com with questions.

Sharp ROMs / trouble with new Cacko Qtopia rom
« on: June 09, 2004, 02:06:04 am »
Hi there,

I just installed the latest Cacko Qtopia ROM on my C860, and  when the machine reboots, the \'Please wait...\' screen comes up and then after about 15 seconds, an \'Enter runlevel\' prompt appears in the lower left corner of the screen. No matter what number I type in, the prompt disapprears, and the machine freezes, stuck on the \'Please wait...\' screen. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Matt

Zaurus - pdaXrom / /etc/pcmcia/wlan-ng.conf
« on: June 03, 2004, 01:47:41 am »
I don\'t see this file on my system. I do see a lot of other files in /etc/pcmcia that have the sort of information that I see people referring to with respect to wlan-ng.conf. I also see that one of the last lines in /etc/pcmcia/config sources *.conf. Should I just make a {cardname}.conf file in /etc/pcmcia with my card info in it? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I\'m pretty ignorant when it comes to network stuff.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / mouse support?
« on: May 01, 2004, 03:19:18 am »
Hi there,

This may be a dumb question, but would it be possible to get a mouse working on a Zaurus? Seems like it would be really neat to use a mouse with pdaX. I saw a tiny optical usb mouse at a computer store today that would probably fit nicely into a universal pda carrying case... And speaking of usb, what about using a usb network adapter with pdaX? I have a Linksys WUSB11 that is currently collecting dust.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / can\'t get WCF11 to work
« on: April 30, 2004, 12:23:17 am »
Hi there,

I am trying to get a Linksys WCF11 to work with pdaX on a c860. I\'ve seen quite a few references to the wlan-ng.conf in /etc, which doesn\'t exist on my system. Can anyone instruct me?

Thanks,

Matt

Zaurus - pdaXrom / C860 won\'t turn on
« on: April 24, 2004, 04:01:35 am »
Hi there,

I just installed the latest pdaX rom on my new c860. Very exciting to be able to drag windows around on such a small device! Anyway, I set the Zaurus down(disconnected from ac power), and after a few minutes the screen went blank. I haven\'t been able to turn it on since. I\'ve tried all of the usual stuff, leaving the battery out for a few hours, letting it charge over night -- no luck. I did notice that even before I installed the X11 rom, the battery charge indicator(Sharp Rom) always indicated that the battery was very low regardless of how long I charged it. I\'m not sure what to try now. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Matt
