Sharp ROMs / Nand Restore And So On

Hello,

I have been trying to NAND restore for the past few days, and I have now been able to actually NAND restore, but after the restoring is done it says

Restore... OK

What do I do next? I pressed cancel on the keyboard and exited and rebooted my 860, and then the "Please wait a moment..." screen comes up (in japanese) and on the bottom black bar where you type the command or something, this comes up

Enter Runlevel :

I first typed "1" and then pressed entered, and then the next time "5" and then "0" each time rebooting, but then it just stays on the screen and nothing happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone,

I have come near to a decision of selling my zaurus, and I would like to hear some advices on the pricing.

SL-C860
Little bit over 1 year used
Few scratches
WCF12 Wifi Linksys Card
PDAir Case

The battery has a bit of a problem, I'm thinking it's a bit used up.

I still have the box, etc. but I think it's out of warranty now.

I would prefer selling in Canada but I guess that's a low chance  

I'm thinking about... $350 ~ $400US? I'm thinking it's a bit high, but since I have the PDAir case and the Wifi card... and I need the money too.

Sharp ROMs / Cacko 1.22 Problems

Hi, I use the Cacko 1.22 on my 860, and I have 2 problems. First is that the battery doesn't charge fully, or something and my zaurus shuts down automatically even after charging for a whole night. Second, I cannot install any packages and get the error "ipkg says something went wrong. Sorry".

Any help?

Sharp ROMs / Gaim

I am using the Cacko 1.22 Rom on my 860, and I tried installing gaim onto my zaurus, but I have all the files and ipk's for gaim to work, but when I try to install one, a thing pops up saying

ipkg says something went wrong. Sorry

When I installed gaim before, it worked like a charm, but now, once I switched to pdaXrom and went back to Cacko, it doesn't work. I have also checked my memory space in root by typing df in the terminal thingy, and I still have 50% space on root, and spaces in the other parts.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Pdaxrom Installation

Hello,

I have just finished installing pdaXrom on my 860, and I think it went fine except when I rebooted, the "terminal" kind of thing that comes up at the starting shows that I need a login and a password... Is there anything that is supposed to go in there? I made a password thing for my zaurus when I had cacko before, but it seems to not work that way.

Any quick help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello everyone!

It's good to be back, haven't been on for a while, so I'll take my time to get used to this forum once again, but right off the bat, I have a question for the people who have time to explain things to me.  

I've always used Sharp ROMS and Sharp based ROMS with my C860, but Cacko and the original roms aren't that exciting to me. Perhaps, I thought, maybe there are other roms out there that might be the one for me.

I only know a few roms, including Original rom, Cacko, PDAX something, and I don't know much else. Except for the Cacko and Original rom,I know nearly nothing about them sadly, so if anyone is kind enough to take their time to tell me a brief explanation of the roms out there, I'd be very thankful!

Oh my gosh! I turned on my zaurus SL-C860 yesterday and I haven't used it for about a month and I couldn't do Wi-Fi with my Linksys WCF12 CF Wireless Card! The card's LED doesn't even flicker... could it be the Access Points problem? Or could it be the card...?      OR THE ZAURUS???  

Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated

Hello,

I have yet failed my challenge on getting the qtrdesktop to work and I don't know why...  

1)I do not know where to find the Server Address on my Windows XP Pro computer...

2) Is there a chance that you can only use this if you have a 4 point wireless router? I only have a normal 4 point router and connected 2 computers and a Wireless Access Point.  

Any Help would be GREATLY Appreciated...

I got the Kmerlin thanks to the person who posted on my other post but Kmerlin installed ok and it started up but when I press connect and fill in my e-mail and password, the bottom bar flashes "connecting To Server" but then instantly it goes offline...?

Any help?

I just love the fact  that I can use internet
wirelessly on my Z now! Yet, the problem is that
I can't use my hotmail account on the internet because it only allows IE 5 or up /Netscape. HELP! Is it possible to do some magic on the e-mail program and get it working? I'm not too bright on the POP and all that great stuff some people can do... If it's not possible at all... Is it possible to use a TELUS|(Canada) e-mail? One more thing... Is it possible to do msn messenger or a IM program to use my hotmail account?

Hey everyone!

Now that I can use the web browser, I started to notice some difficulties in controlling it. For example, You realle need a stylus to go through pages and etc. but one of my biggest problem is, when there is a new window like a pop up or something, it gets like a tab thing and you click it to see thepage but I have no clue how to shut down the one page because if I press the x on the top, it shut downs the whole entire browser which is very unhelpful. And is there also a way to do the back button to go to the page before on the keybpard? and is there a way to view my hotmail account in any way since the hotmail site says I need the other browsers...

Hello everyone!

I'm happy to be posting again since I haven't posted for a long time and I was off the zaurususergroup for a long time too.

But, I have a question.

What would be the difference between an Access Point and Wireless 4-pt Router except that you can split the connection on a router to use wired networking with more than one computer. I infact don't need a router but it's still ok if it's there since there is a 15.00 mail in rebate on the router but any other features or anything that's different in the two?
