Gemini PDA - Italian / eSIM Italia
« on: November 08, 2018, 09:57:08 am »
ciao,
Jan Krupa scrive: «Czech T-Mobile recently started to support eSIM on regular phones (not just watches, IoT devices, etc.). If you use their services you can move your regular SIM card to eSIM for free. I tried it on Gemini and.. it works 😀 .. although there is a little glitch during the provisioning. I wrote a step-by-step guide on how to use it with Gemini...».

Gemini PDA - Linux / VNC: connection refused
« on: November 08, 2018, 07:28:09 am »
hi,
I'm trying to VNC from Gemini to a macOS  (Mojave, 10.14.1).
In Gemini Debian TP2 I select the Wi-Fi, installed TigerVNC (vnc4server), typed
Code: [Select]
vncserver
export DISPLAY=:1
To use ssh I had to add "192.168.1.1" in the "Nameserver" section of the Wi-Fi configuration...
But the same, in Mac OS, with RealVNC viewer for 192.168.1.47 (the Gemini Debian ip) I get "connection refused".
Code: [Select]
192.168.1.47:1What am I missing?
thank you

Gemini PDA - Linux / Userland and VNC
« on: November 03, 2018, 06:57:06 pm »
Hi, please,
I need some hints to use X server with UserLAnd (Debian 9.5) inside Android with VNC, as I don't want use XSDL server for now...
I've UserLand already configured, installed vnc4server and ip = 192.168.1.13, then Real VNC in the Gemini.
How can I configure to see X server (graphic) in VNC (Gemini)?
And how to do to connect from another VNC viewer, for example from macOS?

Thank you

PS: sorry for the OT: not Gemini-Debian

Finalmente on line da Planet Computers la mitica Agenda Gemini "Psion like" (link).
Sembra molto bella e professionale.
Attendiamo prove e commenti.
Qui ha riconosciuto tutti i calendari sincronizzati da varie parti (una quindicina da Apple iOS, Google) senza problemi.

Gemini PDA - Android / How to test if Android is rooted
« on: June 27, 2018, 04:35:50 pm »
hi,
how to test if Android is rooted?
I re-flashed with "trial boot" (rooted Android, Linux, Sailfish), the scatter file reported
Code: [Select]
- partition_index: SYS23
  partition_name: boot
  file_name: root_boot.img
and in the Firmware folds there was root_boot.img, but Rootchecker app affirms that there is no root reachable...
Could I test with Termux or other apps?

thank you,

Gemini PDA - Linux / Flashing Gemini without losing data?
« on: June 27, 2018, 06:09:42 am »
If I would like to "triple flash" Gemini without losing my data, would it be possible? how? deselecting "data partition", or?
I've now a single (not rooted) Android partition (and an automatic Google backup), I would like to have rooted Android + Debian + Sailfish (with my data and settings)...

Gemini PDA - Linux / Dual boot and SD card
« on: June 24, 2018, 04:30:58 pm »
Two question about SD card with dual boot:
1. at the moment in Android I'm using 256 GB SD as extension of the operative system; if I set dual boot, will linux and Android see the SD as well and their partition in it reciprocally?
2. hoping that a next FOTA update could permit to update FOTA automatically also for dual boot, they said that at the moment the OTA update file must run in a SD; if I leave the SD as above (operating system extension) shall I run update from that card or could I run it from an external SD via USB?
Thanks in advance for advice.
