a new bug in .24:
the fonts used in the configuration dialogs are at least 2 points bigger as the application font - not all options are visible and no scrollbars occurs so I can't configure until I switch to a very small font.

regards,
Silvio

it's not a bug - it's a feature
but IMO it strongly suggests, that the sizing of the konfig screens does not work as well as the rest of PI. I think it has been mentioned on sourceforge

sorry, i missed 2.023. I've upped 2.024 and from what i've seen so far, zautrix fixed all remaining reasons, i had to complain about.
Multiple selection AND context menu works fine in list view, next days starts on today - as far as i got all seems well. I'll be back as sonn as i found anything new.

Thanks for your great work.

You can customize the views that Kopi cycles through: It only cycles that you have buttons for in the toolbar. So select whichever buttons you want, re-start (make sure you deselect fast-load before starting it up again, you can re-select it once the kopi is started again), and it should cycle between the buttons you have.
Let me know if you have any troubles, though.
That works, but:
I prefer the next n days view over the working week view, so i left only this, week and day on the toolbar. Still Kopie insists, that next days starts on monday. Once forced by tapping it in the toolbar, it remains in the correct start - exactly until next resume. Not a big thing, but enoying.

And another thing (maybe a little bit older)
you may select multiple events in list view and there's an option to do something with selected events (you can even choose select all) but you can't do anything to more than one selected, since entering context menu deselects all, except for the one you happened to tap.

Maybe one massive IPK with all the apps would be nice
well i haven't had the time to install .22 and i admit, keeping up with your pace is a challenge, but still i prefer the single ipk's, maybe because i like to be in control (or at least pretend to be).
and i don't usually install all PI apps, so plz keep the single ipk's.

I just installed Version 2.0.21 and wow, Kopi seems to have gained a lot. Finally, cycling through views has been achieved (not customizable though), the hole seems to be faster. To be honest, i've lost the track of new features a bit (e.g. i'm not shure, whether features are new in Kopi, or just newly discovered by me) but anyhow, i like it very much and the decreasing activity in this thread seems to be an indicator that most users are reasonable content by now.
I at least, am.

I can't tell if there's anything new with Kapi, since it worked perfect for me ever since V2.016.

Thanks again guys,

Software / Kino2 0.4.2 Is Out
« on: March 09, 2005, 01:16:48 pm »
I'm not certain, whether it fits here at all, it could as well be a KO/PI issue.
From time to time, after using Kino2 for a longer period of time, KO/PI won't show up again. Only way to get it back to work, is a reboot (feels almost like windoze). I can't tell if it did happen with "old" mplayer, which was shipped with cacko 1.22, but now, KO/PI is often(not allways) disabled after a long Kino2-session.
Meanwhile, i am trying to avoid the problem, by not closing KO/PI before starting Kino2. This way KO/PI is still accessible after, or even during the use of Kino2.

May be one of maslovsky/Zautrix can figure out, what's wrong with using both of the best apps around.

TIA,
j.

Hi,
now (PIM/PI 2.0) allmost everything is perfect for me.
I'm happy with PWM/PI, since the option to import csv-files made it possible to get all my ZSafe stuff in, without having to retype everything.
Minor issue:
KO/PI: sometimes the jump bar won't show at start (fastload enabled)
Wish:
KA/PI: It'd add much to usability, if multiple use of calendar-button would cycle through views (°°°dream°°° configureable), instead of just switching (and staying there) to what's next view.
Meanwhile i was able to sent my faithful Palm V into retirement - thanks to Cacko and PIM/PI.

Sharp ROMs / Cacko Rom 1.22 Is Available!

Hi,
can anyone enlighten me, where the over/underclocking applet is hidden in Cacko 1.22?
I'm not shure about that, but i feel, that kino leaves the z underclocked, when leaving from playing mp3. At least, the overall performance is rather sluggish afterwards.

Which led? Do you mean LCD?  Do you set brightness via hardware keys (Fn + 3) or via applet?

LCD allright.
most of the time i use Fn+3 / 4.
I admit it's the well known bug, only the behaviour on resume, i was not aware of.

Hi all,
another observation concerning the backlight bug:
When using the Z in lowest brightness setting and suspending it thus, the led will switch off on resume. At least mine does reproduceably.

Hi,
some remarks concerning the .20 version.
the installing via graphical installer doesn't work with sd. Oddly enough, the tool pretends, that the installation was succesfull, but the links aren't present and consequently the apps aren't available.
This does not occur though, when installation is made by cmd-line, so i think i'll stick to that.

Now for the apps themselves:
KO/PI: nothing to complain so far, exept for a missing feature (added in sourceforge wishlist) sometimes i need to export a single event as icalendar by means of ordinary filetransfer (not IR).

KA/PI: the jump bar is still buggy (only mine?) some letters are missing whereas others appear multiple in different places. I quit using it.

PWM/PI: seems to be grown up since i used it last time (1.9.3). I think, i could get used to it now.

that's all for now.

Hi all,
I've just installed .19 and am greatly pleased as with every version before.
Only thing i noticed is, in KA/PI the jump bar won't display all letters, even though there are matching entries.
I must confess thogh, that i don't know whether it's specific to .19 since i hadn't activated the jump bar before.
Oh, and neither KA/PI nor KO/PI are installable on card, xept from the command line.
Great work and i'm eagerly awaiting 2.0
Keep the good work going - THX

Unfortunately, the code in Battery/Brightness applet is from Qtopia 1.6.2 and I have no idea why it set brightness in such a wired way. Since Fn + 3 / Fn + 4 buttons are handled by Qtopia itself, I can't have a look how it actualy sets  brightness correctly...
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=61814\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

I'm not shure about that, but to me it seems, that the lowst brightness setting by applet, is as dark as lowest brigthness set by Fn+3 after dimming.
So maybe it's just the same behaviour, exept that there is no lower level of brightness after setting lowest by applet. So the next step naturally would be to turn the led off.

Just a thought

Not able to connect Z to PC as USB Mass Storage device.  Worked under Cacko 1.21 but now PC can't see either the CF or SD on Zaurus.  Is anyone else having this problem under 1.22 and how can I troubleshoot  this to determine what's wrong?

PC running Windows XP, SP2
I've just tried it and it worked on my C750. I wonder if this issue is specific to 760/860. Can anyone else confirm that USB storage is working/not working with C760/860 and other Z models?
CF and SD worked fine for me. (see sig.)
Though from earlier experiences with elena, i first switched twice back and forth from PC-Link to mass-storage. I read somwhere, that the initial state wasn't allways what it appeared to be.

Just another question concerning Kino2: is there any chance for resume or bookmarks? Sometimes i enjoy watching movies while on the bus and, of course, during the day i need some of the other apps. It would be nice to be able to continue on my way back just where i stopped in the morning.
