C1000/3x00 General discussions / Vnc / Mysql

Hello all,

New c1000 has arrived :-D I'm setting it up just now, but could anyone tell me where I can find a MySQL 4 package for it (does one even exist?) and a VNC viewer?

Is there a centralised place to find packages for the c1000?

Mac Issues / Osx And C1000

Hello all,

I'm about to get my hands on a c1000, and I was wondering if anyone can suggest the best option for syncing my iCal (OSX.4) with several calendars, to the c1000, running whatever ROM (don't really mind as long as it syncs has have half decent PIMs).

Mac Issues / Open Zaurus And Mac Os X Sync

Hello all,

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find a definite answer - is it possible to sync iCal etc on my Mac with my OpenZaurus Opie calendar? Its Opie v1.2 (OZ 3.5.6).

Hi,

Thanks for your replied. OZ compat was actually already installed to sd - as was opera. But I uninstalled then and tried again - and still no job. Its still storing the file in /opt/QtPalmtop.compat/bin/ and root is still running out of space.

I con't figure out why it would go to sd...

Hello all,

I (like many others apparently) am trying to get Opera to run on my sl5500 with OZ - and its not going well... I've followed most of the threads I can find and still got no where. I'm currently messing around with the OZ compact libs and I run make-compat against opera - however the root runs out of disk space before it can complete.

How can I make make-compat place the new opera on the sd card?

Great - thanks for the link! I'm still having problems though... I just can't seem to view a remote desktop from the zaurus. If I run a VNC server on the Zaurus I can see its screen no problem - but not the other way around. The only error I'm getting is 'Host not found', for both the IP and the name.

Don't suppose any one could offer any help?

Sharp ROMs / Keypebble Vnc

Hello all,

I'm trying to connect to my laptop from my Z using VNC. I'm using a Mac OSX VNC server, which appears to be running just fine (because other computers can connect to it) - but Keypebble on my Z apparently connects ok - but just displays a great big white screen. Nothing else...

Using an SL5500 with the Hybrid rom and Keypebble 1.5.

I saw somewhere that there was a version 1.0.0 of Keypebble for Sharp roms, but I can't find it any where. I don't know if that would help.

Any suggestions?

First of all, if you install from the command line you need to run 'ipkg-link' to create the symlinks. Try 'ipkg-link mount /mnt/card'

Not sure about all of the linking errors, but these may be ok - I'm not sure how the packagemanager handles the symlinking (I only use ipkg from the command line) - the symlinks may already exist so it's causing an error when it tries again, check and see.

Thanks lardman - I trying installing for the command line, and it install no problem (forcing the prce depends..).

Now there is a different problem... Firstly the Konqueror icon isn't on the desktop, which I presume is just a symlink, so I'll add that later. But trying to run Konqueror from the command link brings up this error message:

Sorry about this folks - I really though I'd be able to install a web-browser myself... obviously not... Ok - if I force the install to sd I get a ton of linking errors (output is below). The sd card is a ext2 formatted file system and has about 12Mb free on it, and internal storage has around 1.2Mb free. So I don't know why it would link.

I've also already installed lib-compact which it is looking for - but when I try to install that again, it also has linking problems.

Ok - I've more or less given up on Opera, because I've gone around in so many circles, I just don't know where I am anymore...

So - Konqueror... I have installed 'service-release1-oz-opie' and 'libpcre0' - but when I try to install Konqureor now - it still complains about not having prce > 4.4. I have no idea what to do next...
