General Discussion / Which Newer Nokia Phone For Ka/pi Phone Export?

hi all,
I got a N70 (Nokia Symbian phone) and tried several times to sync with Ko/Pi via BT (no irda).

I tried to setup a BT profile (and connect to it before launching Ko/Pi) via an OBEX profile in the phone and the DUN (modem?) one. Each times Ko/Pi do not success to sync with the phone.

I found somewhere a how-to to sync via Irda, but truly, it seems very difficult via BT. May be a Z guru can look at this matter ?

BTW, the dun connection to access to the Internet through the Phone or file transfer between the Z and the N70 is working via BT.

It works !!!
The thing is that the N70 does not reply to the AT+CGDCONT=1 command (bug?) so the init string need to be :  ATZ.
Then you need to check that your access point is defined and the option is "if necessary"  in the paket data option in  tools->param.->connection-> packet data on the N70 (it is from translated from the french menu. Maybe the english words are not the same)
For Orange french, the access point is "orange.fr"
keep  :
ACCOUNT
Name : whatever you want
username & password : orange
phone :*99***1#
 as basic setup.
i have found these info after an intense google session, do not remenber from where... but it works! i can surf in 3G now !!!!

Sharp ROMs / Nokia N70 (symbian S60) Gprs Bt Connection

Hi All,
I had set up a GPRS connection using the cacko network wizard in the past with success.
but Now , the internet connection using GPRS does'nt work with my brand new Nokia N70. It is a Symbian S60 smartphone serie.

The old parameter (for a siemens S55) was :
ACCOUNT
Name : whatever you want
username & password : orange
phone :*99***1#
MODEM
BT device : /dev/rfcomm0
init string : AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","orange.fr"
spedd : 115200, hardware ctrl checked
NETWORK
everything checked expect window pppp
PROXIES
no proxies
BLUETOOTH
auto configure with the search and set button.
it was the channel 1 for the siemens.

Now i just change the BT tab, with the same search and set function. the channel used for the dun connection is the 3. nothing else changed.

When i want to set up the connection, the phone ask for th BT code of the zaurus, ask if i want to allow connection from the zaurus. at the same time, the zaurus is stop at the initialiation step.
then after a while : both z and the phone disconnect the bt link. the Z was unable to connect to the internet using the phone.

The only changes are on the BT Tab of the setup, as the other are not suppose to be associated to the phone (it is more linked to the GSM network).  

On the other hand, i am able to send and receive files between The phone and the Z.

Help. the main interest of this phone is a 3G and EDGE ip connection.

FF9 is FFIX and FFIX freezes just after the square logo like you say. I didn't see anaywhere that psx4zaurus is able to run FF9...

Hi all,

I have a strange behavior of the snes emalutor since a few days.

I 'm playing at FF6, and the menu (where you can setup your character) start flashing sometimes or even being completely grey and i can't see anything. the game continue working, and if i exit the menu, i can continue playing. It seems to be only a display trouble.

The game itself is ok, just the menu have display strange issues.

I just want to know if some one else have this problem.

Zelda runs fine.

The main modifications i have done was to install psx4zaurus (and try another sdl lib to get the direction non inverted). And i have pdaxqtrom.

The emulator was running fine with pdaxqtrom before, so i don't think it is because of that.

I tried to reinstall the sdl lib and snes from the cresho zip, same stuff.

So am i the only one to have this strange flashing/grey menu in FF6 ?

did i need to reinstall everything from a fresh cacko install ? (please no :-))

can anybody give me the name of a working game on the emulator. i manage to get to the emulator menu and i have the iso of gta 2 but when i try to run it zaurus locks after the load success message

Jon_J, you can play (i do) FFVI (Full speed with sound) with the super nintendo emulator. It is the same game, just without the movies....

This CF BT Card is like the belkin. It is identified as a "dell truemobile 300" with the cacko rom 1.23.

Works like a charm.

it is a french web site.

In fact FFVI PAL (French) works. First i tried a pocket ISO img without the movies, that's why it crashed. I have tried the full img and it is working good !!.
So PAL img works.
I even tried to use the 7005 bios (or something like that, by renaming it with the one expected by psx4z)  and it is working too.
I'm very happy to see this psx emu for the Z. Thanks Zodttd. Time to donate :-)
