Zaurus - pdaXrom / Ko/pi - No Sound

I tried many thinks but I have no luck to get sound of kopi. The only thing what I haven't tried is to do a scratch load of pdaXii13 of Meanie.

So I'm not sure whether kopi will work with sound after this!?  

Who of you have also pdaXii13 loadet and kopi with sound works?

I installed the correct kdepimpi ipk file so that should be ok but sound is still missing!

The standard wave file "koalarm.wav" is in the right folder. I guess that  something is wrong with the command which
tries to play the wav file. Maybe the application to play the wav file is gone or ... I don't know. Does anyone knows where the script is
which start the command for playing the wav file?  

Other ideas to fix this issue are naturally welcome

Hi,

I have installed "kdepimpi_2.2.7_armv5tel.ipk" package. When I set a alarm the alarm pops up but without sound although I have linked it in "Alarm" menue to a wav file.

Any ideas why this failed.

Great job compiling fatback for our Z :-)  Thanks a lot!!!

By the way I'm also interested in compiling other useful utilities for the Z but I'm not familiar with it. Would it be possible to write a short step by step
documentation which applications I need to install and what steps are necessary to compile it. If you could use fatback as an example this
would be cool!

I downloaded the sourcefile of scite. Reading the "Readme" file you have to go to the GTK folder and type in the command make. After a while I get the following error:

Widget.cxx: In member function `bool WBse::Sensitive()':
Widget.cxx:31: error: `gtk_widget_get_sensitive`was not declared in this scope
Widget.cxx:31: warning: unused variable 'gtk_widget_get_sensitive'
make: *** [Widget.o] Error 1

Any ideas?

I have reinstalled the newer version of glib and glibc and scite again but without success. You mentioned the "... recompilation of sicte against library". Is there a way how can I do this?

Hello,

I tried to start "scite" but I get a error message although it had been working in past.

Error message:

scite: relocation error:  scite: symbol _dl_catch_error, version GLIB_2.0 not defined in file ld-linux.so.2 with link time reference.

I have no ideas how I can fix the problem.

could anyone compile the newest version v27 of  ZIM ZIM - A Desktop Wiki.

It was done earlier from 2or0 (see post ZIM - v17).
The new version has really good new feature to offer
