Hi, I'm trying to install gpsd for qpegps

Same problem solved removing the gpsd from the feed and installing this [a href=\"http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/qpegps/gpsd_from_qpegps_0_9_1_compiled_with_soft-float_support?download]gpsd from qpegps[/url]. My Z is a collie (with_soft-float_support).

I start qpegps without the gps card. When it ask "retry/ignore" insert gps card and press "retry". It works for my.

You also need upgraded wget (ipkg install wget) the busybox version lack parameters.
the gif2png and downmap to download maps from expedia These files are not installed from the feed.

you can start qpegps from the console to see the log.

EDITED.
1.- Remove gpsd -> ipkg remove gpsd
2.- Gunzip this 3 files in /opt/QtPalmtop/bin/

gif2png.gz

gpsd.gz

3.- Start GPSD without the GPS card
4.- Insert GPS card and press RETRY button.

5.- My GPS card is ttyS3. Change to your device (type dmesg in console to see it)

Buenas...

Se ha creado un wiki con la documentación que hay en la web de OpenZaurus. Hay muchas cosas que se pueden traducir y asi aprovechar las guias que hay hechas en lugar de crear guias diferentes para las mismas cosas.

¿Que pensais?

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Dns Not Working!

The strange thing is when I boot directly from flash instead of the altboot SD image, DNS works...  Any ideas?

I have the same problem with Opie but I have seen a "ln -s resolv.conf" (file exists) error at boot. You can add a "cp /media/ROM/etc/resolv.conf /etc" or create a new resolv.conf with "echo nameserver -your DNS server- >/etc/resolv.conf"
In Opie, then file is created configuring the network (settings) every boot.

This is really weird...

Today, while the card was warm from being inside the Z, it would not accept SSH connections (it would switch off) nor any internet activity.

So I did a little experiment - I took it  off and put it in the fridge for a few minutes. After that, it worked great until it became warm again - suddenly the connection was dropped.

Is my card busted?

My  Symbol card works several followed hours.  it is warmed up when transfer great files or seeing films but does not become disconnected. 5500 warms up with full screen light.

Tienes este listado un inglés en Handheld-linux. Para instalar un paquete tiene que ser de arquitectura ARM y cumplir las depencias. Si las cumples, en principio debe funcionar. Para compilar me suena que tienes el gcc.

No se puede. Error desconocido impide nada, ya no se que lineas borrar.
Parece que si en el texto (incluso en el verbatim=code) hay algun comando o path inseguro no deja continuar. Pegale un vistazo al log. Al usuario no le da ninguna informacion, solo un error del tipo "pagina no encontrada"

Prueba modificar la caja de arena insertando un chmod entre lineas.

In Opie, you can cange your feed to 3.5.3 and install snes9x-sdl-qpe. It is not at 3.5.4
Remenber to change the ipkg.conf again to feed 3.5.4

FORGET IT. After 2/3 reboots system hangs. Seems GPE start at VT3.

From OpenZaurus and working in SL-5500 (collie). Please, Be carefull with filenames, errors edited.

1.- New AltBoot Image

OLVIDALO. Al segundo o tercer reinicio, GPE intenta arrancar en el terminal 3 y cuelga el sistema. Ni idea del porqué. Supongo que al cambiar alguna configuración. ¿La intensidad de la luz?  

He intentado probar la solución que dan en OpenZaurus pero por lo visto en la 5500 (mi caso) no funciona. Cuento los pasos que he seguido.

1.- Lo basico para cualquier imagen nueva de AltBoot. Creo una imagen en SD. La formateo como EXT2, la monto en media/image...

yo tengo el mplayer en una sl-5500 y si me reproduce el video, pero no el sonido...

En OpenZaurus, el codec que utiliza el mplayer por defecto para mp3 no funciona en la 5500 (Problema de matematicas). Prueba añadirle al mplayer como parametro -ac mad.

mplayer -ac mad matrix4.aviPara hacer el cambio permanente, edita el fichero /home/root/.mplayer/config y añade la linea ac=mad. Escribo de memoria y no tengo mucha

Thanks for all the work on this new release, it looks good.  I have done a 64-0 install on my Collie choosing Opie.  So far so good, but I want to move the root to the SD card.

At boot, select 3 (SD boot) and Alt-boot ask you image file to boot.
Tested and working.

If you want, you can make you own image too (bigger of course)

I want use the Z as a wireless USB adapter with a bridge "wireless CF <-> USB"
The bridge-tools are in the feed but it depends of then kernel-module-bridge.

Creo que tienes la memoria llena.
Tienes dos opciones. Desinstalar algun programa o volver a hacer un flash de la ROM.

para desinstalar, en la consola pon:
ipkg remove xxx (no se me ocurre que desinstalar) :-(

De todas formas, con "df" te dira cuanto espacio libre te queda en root, si no es cero o muy poco, no se que problema puede ser.

Yo, probaria a flashear de nuevo con la ROM 3.5.4.
