mmiller ... congrats on the progress!

Just to verify, ... currently you can connect and surf the web but cannot reconnect without reinserting the cf card?

Try "cardctl reset" in a console. You may need to do a "sudo cardctl reset".

thanks -cardctl reset works- is there a way of placing that instruction so the machine just resets automatically-i think that I have seen something in various posts but I need the andypandy instructions so that I can follow how to do it!

When you say to reset it automatically, can you clarify further?

1. Insert in, detects wifi, connect to internet, run opera.
2. Exit Opera, disconnect from wifi.
3. When Opera launches, get wifi cf to auto reset and connect to wifi?

Is that what you want?

I would think that there are some network script that is executed when a network connection is requested, and that's where a cardctl reset can be made where necessary.

I dabbled with some of these config files while trying to get usb-tcpip to work, but do not know the exact detail of it.

Someone else may want to shed light on this.

sorry Im being less than clear- is there a way of  writing in an instruction that resets the card without my having to do that manually each time I want to log on?
