Kino2 And Subtitles
« on: April 11, 2006, 07:23:43 pm »
Hi everybody,

I've got a c1000 for quite some time and recently I rediscovered it thanks to cresho's tutorial on how to play movies.

Now I make them with nero recode and they play amazingly well on my zaurus.
There's only one thing that bugs me it's that I don't know how to play subtitles that are in a .srt file with kino2.

Does somebody know how to do this?

edit: My bad, the file was a weird .sub where the subtitles are pictures so mplayer wouldn't even play it on my computer.
I'll try with a srt file.

hmmm....kino2 should be able to utilize .sub files.  Kino2 is the frontend of mplayer and I watch subtitled shows with .sub files all the time.  I play my movies by commandline though.

Code: [Select]
mplayer -sub -slang english -vo bvdd -vm -x 640 -y 480
I'm now an iphone user and use my zaurii as serial terminals, perl and shell scripting and when I need 640x480 screens
