Cacko Timezones
« on: August 23, 2006, 01:15:32 pm »
Hi,

running cacko on my 3100 gives me one problem--the city/time setting won't let me select alaska, I have to use Los Angeles as the the nearest timezone.  It is inconvenient, and looks a bit bumb, you know?

I KNow a fix for this was posted here somewhere, but i can't seem to find it now.  I tried editing the appropriate config file (I forget where it is atm) to say Anchorage ak  in the form that was used for the L.A. setting and all it accomplished was to make my  z hang when loading qtopia.

How can I set my timezone to ak standard? how can i tell city/time that I live near anchorage, and not in LA?

I'll give it a try.  I remember it being something kinda  simple, but unexpected, like that.

thanks
