Multi Buttons As User

hi,

i have followed the instructions on
https://www.oesf.org/index.php?title=1-For_Debian_EABI
to set up normal user login with xdm. as it is said there, the middle and right button emulation is destroyed by this trick. does anyone know how to solve this or any hint on where i could strat looking to do it myself?
