Hdd-free Patch For Cacko Rom!
« Reply #15 on: July 03, 2008, 04:02:19 pm »
You mentioned a couple of posts up that this should work with sharp rom too. To clear it up...it flat out doesn't. Will make it totaly unbootable

Anyway, anyone have any idea of how to get the sharp rom to ignore the hdd partitions? I guess off I go to look at rc.rofilesys.

ZDevil, quick question.
Did you ever get the hard drive to mount manually in cacko, as you tried in this post? (Bsd/cacko Boot)
https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?s=&...st&p=160509

I ran the script as instructed in the readme and all seems well in cacko, I just need to access the FAT partition. This also disables the swapfile.
I can still access it through usb to my windows box, so no prob there.
I wanted to test the attached script before re-installing cacko. (My cacko is very old and needs a refresh anyway).
I plan on installing Angstrom eventually, but I would like to be able to mount my VFat partition in the meantime from within cacko.
I'm going to look over meanie's zbook and see if there is an answer in there to mount/unmount the internal disc.
