As for the suspend, at least under the console (ie not under X) it recovers gracefully and you are returned to a working console. You get XKEYBOARD errors and you end up looking at an error message on the console when you unsuspend X.

Yep, that's been the way it's been.....

Meanwhile, I installed 5.8, process went smoothly....had 5.6 on it before...

Now, in process of untarring the ports file.....forgot that it takes a while....

Will be very interested to see if I have better luck building packages than before. There were specific programs that just would not build and unfortunately they were ones that I really needed in order to build programs I wanted to use on the Zaurus.

Just in case that screenshot of the C3000 partition map disappears too, here's the spec required to install Cacko:

DEVICE   START   END   SYSTEM

hda1        1              204    ext3
hda2        205          2285  ext3
hda3        2286        -         vfat

That vfat partition can be any size. The Cacko installer formats the partitions for you.

Next tiime I install OBSD I'll make some notes on the partitioning steps as the planetofidiots guide is wrong and the official docs are confusing.
