Typing speed test on the Cosmo/Gemini
« on: August 20, 2020, 04:21:00 am »
[News via Gemini Planet on FB]

A video with a speed test done on a Cosmo has been released on Youtube:

The speed test website is here: https://www.livechat.com/typing-speed-test/#/

I have done a test myself on my Gemini and I have reached a speed of 45 WPM with a 97% accuracy.

Anybody else willing to take the test? :)

Apparently i'm an Octopus (it's word, not mine)

63WPM @ 96% accuracy (think I messed up on 3 words)

For reference the last typing test I did on a full size keyboard was ~84WPM

The problem with that test is that it prevents you from correcting if you accidentally hit space.

Got 50 WPM and 3 mistakes - of which two were caused by accidentally hitting space.

On my Gemini (Dvorak, plus the anti-ghosting kernel patch) I type over 100wpm... that website can't keep up. :)
