font problem
« on: June 20, 2004, 09:28:57 am »
Hi

I could not get Konsole to use large fonts even with the  ./termon
command so I installed an extra font Verasansmono and QKonsole.

Qkonsole will only use the new font when I startup in rotated mode:
portrait on a c860. I can then rotate this back to Landcape and use ok.
It woud be nice to use without this rigmarole.

Also Freenote behaves strangely with fonts and the font selactor comes up blank.

any help appreciated

c860 with sharp rom

Try copying the .qpf files from :

http://moria.ionkov.net/zaurus/embeddedkonsole/

into your /home/Qt.../lib/fonts directory

should do the trick.

Also, i it is not causing trouble, just leave termon on.

I removed the qkonsole and installed qpe-terminal instead.   I found the fonts annoying especially the spacing,  the default install of qpe-terminal is better but I guess installing suitable fonts would make things even better.
