there is already skype for PPC, i'm hoping that I can Skype on my 760 soon.

No the source is NOT there, only the binaries are there and as they are compiled for x86 they wont work on the Zaurus.

Unless you get skype to release the source code or convince them to compile for arm devices you won't be using skype on the Z

Well they have compiled for Pocket PC

so I guess they have compiled for PXA255 type processors, they just haven't released a Zaurus compatible package.
