Trying To Install Wi-fi Cf Card Software
« on: August 19, 2005, 05:28:23 pm »
Hi,

I just got a Zaurs SL-C3000, and I am trying to install the software for the wi-fi care I already purchased.  As directed, I connect the Zaurus to my laptop (which uses windows xp pro), and the cd-rom to laptop.  However, the laptop is unable to make a sync connection with the zaurus, and the process starts there.

Since I am not going to by syncing with my laptop, just transferring files, I have set my zaurus to ''usb storage'' under PC connection.  That has worked -- off and on -- and I have been able to put music and picture files on the zaurus, though I see many, many ''alert usb'' warning and error messages on the zaurus. I thought that changing this setting to PC connection would make the difference, but it did not.

I did not install the software that came with the zaurus -- I started to, but one of the first folders that appeared on my laptop screen brought the message ''windows cannot open this folder,'' so I decided not to mess with that unless necessary.

any suggestions?  I read recent post with similar problem, but decided to write anyway because I am not experienced enough yet to know when problems are fundamentally similar or not.

This site has been recommended to me numerous times, so I am hoping for good things.  Mike

What wi-fi card is this? You say it comes with Linux drivers?
