Cheap, Functional Case
« on: February 19, 2006, 08:10:56 am »
Hey guys,
I went to walmart to get a usb to ps2 adapter (on sale for 6.00 usd) and I came across a targus universal camera pouch.  It fits the c1000 body perfectly.  It's not extremely padded but, it has a nice, soft inside with a little cushion.

And the best part...

it was 94 cents :-D

It's not 94 cents, but I use this for my 3100, clips to my belt, has pocket for CF wifi card.

What about this hardshell Palm One case?

I cannot find dimensions.  Anyone know if the C1000
would fit?

I'm looking for a local place to get one of these.
http://www.gsioutdoors.com/Products/LexanR...otherStuff.html
"Waterproof Utility Boxes"
I'm going to take my 'Z' on motorcycle trips and use it for GPS
I'll pack it with soft foam, and drill a hole in the side of this case.
Then place a grommet for charging cable.
And store it in the saddlebag.

I ended up getting one of these, Pelican 1020 micro case.
There is actually a distributer in Illinois, but they don't allow walk-ins, you still have to mail order them.
It fits my C3100 perfectly with 3/8 inch extra space on end.
It's waterproof and can submerged. (I haven't tried that though)
