http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=CF_8G-80X

I've never done business with ewiz.com and I have never heard of "Super Talent" products.  I will see what I can dig up, and others, by all means go for it

I did find both good and bad reviews of ewiz.com, though, from epinions:
http://www.epinions.com/pr-Online_Stores_Services-eWiz_com

3.5 out of 5

Super Talent's website does have a card they call the 'super digital' that is they clai is an SD w/ out the DRM stuff  But I digress...

Anyway, have to run, but thought I would throw this out there just in case.  Maybe somebody here knows something more.

**edit** now the price is under $340

THat's the best price on Froogle although the description (everywhere) is very sparse.  But  it doesn't *seem* to be a Microdrive, and 80x is quite nice.

So far there seems to be no 16GB cards on the horizon, so I would imagine the 8GB will stay above $300 for a while (solid state).   But on the othe hand, better (more recognized brand names) will be in this price range probably within a year or less.

Tough call since 4GB just broke under $150 for solid state.

Wish I could find some user reiews.  But I nice find none the less

According to the site it is NAND flash.  Of course, how they could sell theirs for a little over half of what the competition charges is suspect.  Super Talent's site doesn't even mention CF cards, though

I found a review for a 1GB CF card of ST's that wasn't very helpful, just said that 1GB was great for lots of pictures    I also found reviews of their PC memory modules, and some other misc PC hardware, and people liked them in that area and said they made a quality product.

I dunno, I'm somewhat skeptical, but it's out there in case anyone is interested and/or knows more about the company(s).

Amazon has those regular 4GB Sandisks for $150 and Ultra IIs for $180ish, and those are both reputable places
