Irda Connection To Mobile Phone
« on: September 26, 2006, 06:22:02 am »
Hi
I have a zaurus SLA-300 and a Nokia 6021i phone (with O2 as carrier). I want to use my phone as a modem in order to get internet access. On my network setting on zaurus I have the option for IrDA connection to phone/modem but the initialization always fails. Does anyone have experience with this sort of connection? Any O2 Germany users using their phones with the zaurus?

This was the first issue I had, many years ago. There is an option to produce debug info from the chat script, though I can't for the life of me remember where that is now.

My issue eventually boiled down to the fact that the pap-secrets file was being filled in, but not the chap-secrets (or vice versa).
