Hancomsheet Won't Save To Sd
« on: August 03, 2006, 03:19:38 pm »
I recently got a 4GB SD card so I installed the updated SD module package to get it working under Cacko. I can read and write to it fine under, say, Hancom Word and I can read Hancom sheet/Excel files but the problem comes when I try to save any changes made to a .xls as it says

"Failed to save file. There may not be enough storage space"

when there is over 2GB free on the SD card! If I copy the file onto the MD I can write to the file OK so I don't think its a permissions problem. I never had this problem on the 128MB SD card.

Any ideas?

EDIT

I just tried editing an xls file on the SD under pdaXQtrom Gnumeric and it saved fine so it definately looks like a HancomSheet problem. Gnumeric under cacko is very, very sluggish though so I'd much rather get HS working if I can. Is there a newer version than the one shipped with Cacko 1.23b for C3000 (HancomMobileSheet v1.7.0)?

ipkg does this too.  my solution was to make 2 partitions- a 1 gig to make the system happy at /mnt/card, and a 3 gig for storing data at /mnt/card2. in my case i do ext2 and fat32 respectively for added flexibility with the card.

i did mmcda1 at card mmmcda2 at card2.  might be better for simple devices like windows computers or mp3 players if you made a 3 gig vfat mmcda1 on card2 and a 1 gig mmcda2 on card. then again it might just be confusing.

I won't be storing any linux binaries or libs on the SD card, just data so in order to retain windows compatibility (my dad still uses it) I'm only going to use vfat partitions.

Are you saying that whatever fs type I choose for the 1st partition it can be no bigger than 1GB?

I've formatted my SD into a 1GB and a 4GB fat32 partitions and indeed 2 disks show up when I insert the card into my PC but only the 1st (1GB) partition is showing up under the Cacko file manager. Is there a way to access them both under Cacko without having to manually mount the 2nd every time?
