Using Qcop To Shut Down Network Connections
« on: March 25, 2007, 04:09:46 am »
I have just recently rewritten my discussion of using qcop to stop network connections at:

http://www.sdjf.esmartdesign.com/scripts/qstop.html

It works quite well on setups which have only one pppd process running, but I would be interested in hearing what has happened to anyone who has tried using the command when there is more than one pppd process running.

I am also curious about whether anyone using a ROM which respawns either ttyS0 or ttyS3, has been able to get the qcop stop command to shut down a network process on the other tty.

Oh, yeah, please also mention which model and ROM number you're using.

Thanks,
sdjf
