Control and Alt keys??...keyhelper applet??
« on: April 29, 2004, 08:01:58 pm »
In the minimual documentation, it speaks of a control and alt key, but I am not sure if they are already programmed (could have fooled me) or are they programmable with a keyhelper applet which needs to be loaded and installed?  Can anyone advise me on the above...thanks...steve

The CTRL key is FN+Shift (except for Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, ctrl+X - those are just FN+)

I suggest you use keyhelper if you want to map the ctrl or alt to other keys - there is a guide in the howto applications on basic keyhelperb settings (with examples) http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php...0to%20KeyHelper

Let me know if it\'s helpful or needs more work

You have to map a key to the Alt key.  For the Zaurus, the primary use seems to be for switching to different terminal windows by pressing Alt 1, Alt 2, Alt 3, and so on.

The right shift tends to works as the Alt key.

So, what key combination can I press to close down a slow, or not responding, app?

Perhaps Ctrl C or Ctrl D.  Alternatively, Ctrl Z followed by a kill command.

Cacko ROMs have Ctrl and Alt keys mapped to the two Japanese characters left to Space
