WLAN will not connect? Help??
« on: May 25, 2004, 10:23:41 pm »
When using the Pretec 802.11b WAN Card, I can no longer connect to the wireless internet connection, even if the Zaurus is sitting next to the Linksys Router.  In the past this has been no problem.  I have checked the Pretec card in another computer and connection is fine.  With the Pretec connected to the Zaurus, it attempts a connection but will timeout with no connection.  When the Network Icon is selected it opens to Wireless Lan TCP/IP, selecting Edit, the Account sems OK.  Config is Non-Spec ESS-ID, this network is open.  WEP is Disabled.  TCP/IP is Obtain TCP/IP Information Automatically.  DNS is set Obtain DNS Information Automatically.  No Proxy is defined.  Selecting Current, WLan Service shows Off Line 100% of time.  While the Current window is open and a connection is attempted, Essid shows the Linksys, and full signal and quality and an access point is shown as 00:0C:41:47:ED:9E, and as connection attempt times out the Access Point will revert to Unable to Connect.  Any help you can give me will be appreciated
