C760 Vs. C860
« on: December 17, 2004, 06:46:52 pm »
What's the difference between the two?  I can't figure out which one I want... and is C# programming available on these zaurii?  I wanted to use it for portable programming, wesbite viewing, etc.

The default rom is basically the only non-cosmetic difference between the two.  Once you reflash it to another rom, they are the same.
I'm now an iphone user and use my zaurii as serial terminals, perl and shell scripting and when I need 640x480 screens

so what is the ROM difference?  What will the 860 have which the 760 has not?

one thing was the ability to use the Z as a card reader

yes.  The cacko rom will bring both an 860 and a 760 past the abilities of the original sharp roms. and include the latest drivers and features.  I can't remember what other differences were in the roms.  The card reader was the only one that I remember people pining over.

Wait! I believe that the 860 comes standard with the larger battery and cover ( has the small cover too if you want it to be slimmed down) and has double the ram… Anyone?

you're thinking of the 750.  That has the smaller ram and battery.  The 760 is identical to the 860 ram and battery wise.
