I'd really like to see color-coded categories and the ability to view contacts in those colors. To give an example: assign green to the "Family" category, enabling all "Family" contacts in the standard list view to display in green text. It's a lot like viewing events in KO/Pi in their respective category colors. This helps when scanning for a particular contact.
I think you can already do that with the view options. I'll check and confirm/deny.

I think I can spare you the effort. Under the "view" settings, you can assign custom text colors, but AFAIK there's no way to make them correspond to specific categories.

And, yeah, I know I can do the "filter" according to categories, but I really like the tacky rainbow look of category-colored contacts.

Perfect, thanks. Have you had a chance to check the config screens for the other apps?
I did a little research, here we go:
Kapi -> *Menu/Sync./Configure...
Ok, Cancel buttons a bit too low on the screen (I think no more than 3-4 pxls)
Couldn't options in this menu be separates by using a Tab widget? It's a bit hard to navigate through all options with a 5500.
Other menus fit perfect.
BTW, I don't fully understand why some submenus disappear when lifting stylus from the screen and some doesn't. I think I'd rather like them to be visible til I tap the screen or st. (Sometimes I feel like doing some Menu-hunting, kind of fun game...   )
*Menu/Edit/Change/Set Categories for contacts...
This window is a bit too big. Its lower part is partially hidden behind taskbar. No big deal but it could be a little shorter, there's plenty of room there for Categories.

Kopi -> *Menu/Action/Configure...
Ok, Default and Cancel buttons doesn't fit on screen by a little bit.
In text on window upper bar (Saying: "Some settings need a reboot"), "boot" from "reboot" is hidden behind Ok, Cancel icons.

I'll check the other apps a bit later.

Uhh...two?

It was a last minute decision: I wasn't going to get a C1000 until I found out they were under $500 retail, and the release just happened to coincide with my mule going over for the C3000, and a month that I got paid 3 times instead of 2.

I haven't really thought much past case swapping the C1000 and the C3000. I've got someone on hook to buy the 860 should I decide to let it go. Unfortunately, I've got 860 only accessories - the CE-RH1 remote, the Sharp Camera, and the portable USB cable. That makes me reluctant to sell even if I needed the money. I'll probably end up throwing PDAXRom on the C860 for the time being.

There are some quite strange problems in setting up qtmail integration.
I will look at this again, but I do not know whether I can fix it.
Last time I gave up after an hour or so ...

Thanks for your feedback I will look at the problems.

I agree, that menu hunting is quite annoying.
I have fixed it in the new version (unreleased) for the agenda view, but the problem is still in the other views. I will try to fix this ...

Zautrix, I know you shot down my OM/Pi wish list, but could I make a request for KA/Pi?

I agree, color-coded categories would be quite useful.
But there are a lot of other problem to be fixed such that this will not be implemented in the near future.

Thanks to you for your work!!! (and ev1l too,   )
This is just the little help I can offer, a bit of testing. I'd like to have some time to learn and help fixing code. But now I'm just into Python (and taking it easy   )

I've found out that, in Week view, on the far right (just on the left of scroll bar), there is  a (yellow) vertical margin. Well, clicking on it twice it will go to 'Edit new item' screen for 01.04.2005 date, no matter which week you have selected (with my time format, I guess 04.01.2005 in american standard). Huh?

One request: Couldn't we have a config menu for work week so it will not suppose everybody works monday to friday?
Something to set how many work days, free days and a starting date... maybe?
Or can I do this some other way?

Thanks a lot!

In 2.0.22 (since about 2.0.6) the New Event screen has the "Ok+Agenda, Ok, Cancel" buttons too low to be able to click them too.

There must be some confusion ...

If I  tap (short) on the screnn I can expand the todo.
If I tap long, it closes again.
Such that the closing on the long tap is the right behaviour.

What Z /Rom are you using?

I have a c860, with the Cacko 1.22 ROM.  I just updated from 2.0.13 before the first posting, to confirm that the problem still existed.  It seems that no matter how fast i tap, it thinks i've done a long tap.  I'm glad to know that's not normal behavior.

Another weird anomaly in todo is that some titles are wrapped, but because there isn't room for two lines, they are completely illegible.

Wow, for someone who has all he wants in it, you're still cruising along with the new releases!  Keep 'em coming.

Did you make sure to restart Kopi once you installed the new version? You might still have the old binary loaded.

Can you send me a screenshot of your todo view?
All data is stored in <yourhome>/kdepim.
Can you make a backup of (or move )this dir and then start with an empty dir (i.e. the default config ) and test if the problem is still there?

If that works, you can probably export your calendar/todo (to a place that's not ~/kdepim, of course  ), and reimport it once you've deleted ~/kdepim, and you'll just have to run through the config again.
