Yep, the C3000 doesn't include a mic! Dumb huh?
You have to use something like this which is sold as suitable for C3000:
little micbut then you can't do a quick playback without removing it. Maybe better to build your own mic + right earphone or use something from a mobile phone.
I tried the recorder software with an old Sony walkman mic and it worked ok.
Makes we lean toward a Dell X50V pda (vga screen, faster processor, built in Bluetooth + WiFi, built in mic, built in backup battery [v. important!] ). Add a 4gb microdrive and off you go. But that uses M$ software and I'm not sure how much fun that would be.
Not entire sure what the market was meant to be for the C3000. Sure isn't a typical PDA and it could do with built in wifi for the power user types. Still, I'm happy with my toy.
