I would try re-formatting your memcard and re-downloading initrd.bin and zImage files and flash again. A fresh format and fresh files often work for me when a flash fails.
SL-5500 hentges rom 3.5.2 w/cardfs and opie 1.1.8
Belkin IR keyboard
64mb cf card
256 sd card
Spectrum24 cf wi-fi card

Are you using the "stock" 3.5.2?  Or Hentges?

Stock you just rename the files to initrd.bin and zImage
For Hentges, you have to untar them.

Did you sync your CF card after the transfer?

Hi,
zImage ist NOT a text file, it is the kernel. Windows adds automatically the txt extension, because it hast no file extension. Just delete the extensen. Some windows versions hide text extensions.

hi
if boths lights go on and stay on, the flash is doing ok, rigth?
so did you think on taking out the cf-card after flashing (thats when both lights go out, after 3mins maybe) press reset and then tried to start up?
taking out the cf-card is crucial for it to work, but its not mentioned in the install-guid only somewhere in the faq
i had the same problem for like a week....

Um, which machine do you have... I presume it's a 5500/5000D?

Check the md5sums of the files before you flash.

Si
C750 OZ3.5.4 (GPE, 2.6.x kernel)
SL5500 OZ3.5.4 (Opie)
Nokia 770
Serial GPS, WCF-12, Socket Ethernet & BT, Ratoc USB
WinXP, Mandriva

Well, sometimes flash crashes happen. I had it a couple of time and had to flash again. Maybe this happened to you. I am a tester since I have a second zaurus. I flashed hundred of times, so it is nothing really to be worried about.
If you have a SD Card, try this rom:
http://www.hentges.net/misc/openzaurus/oz3...opie1.1.7.shtml
It installs all the apps (including compat-libs) you can see below autmatically after flash to your SD card:
http://www.hentges.net/misc/zaurus_look.shtml
