How To Backup Selectively And Manually?
« on: February 15, 2005, 04:28:42 am »
Hi there,

Recently I feel like hard-resetting my C860 w/ Sharp ROM (probably) due to some unknown file system corruption.  At first, I tried to make a ROM backup using the built-in Backup/Restore, but as others have reported here, the process halts at around 60% in my device.

I wonder if it is possible to do a very simple backup of the followings manually (i.e. just copy the files to the card):

1. Emails in Qtmail
2. PIM data (calendar, address, todo)
3. NetFront and Opera bookmarks

Could somebody point out the locations of these files?  Thank you very much!

All three of the items you want to save are stored in /home/zaurus/

The email and Sharp PIM data are stored in /home/zaurus/Applications/dtm/ and the NetFront bookmarks are somewhere on /home/zaurus/Documents and AFAIK the opera bookmarks are stored in /home/zaurus/.opera
