I\'ve read that it is very hard to focus and has trouble with low light, but for $42 I don\'t really care if its up to snuff with a dedicated digital camera.

I don\'t find it hard to focus (assuming that you have enough light) but then again I\'m used to manual focus cameras.

It IS virtually blind in low light.

Note that Opie-Camera http://www.Vanille.de/projects/camera.html also can take videos and supports more formats/resolutions. I never tested this on a C7x0 though.

Looking at the update rate of the preview screen last night I was thinking that it might be technically possible to capture movies with it.  Of course, the Sharp software doesn\'t do this.  It might be worth playing around with Opie-Camera though.

I got mine off of ebay.

I found that my camera phone (LG VX6000) camera takes better pictures than the Zaurus camera  :?

I\'ve been using it on my C700 w/ opie-camera (got it from mickey) it works great.. but wont write to my ext2 formatted SD card

Mine arrived on Thursday  !  I have only had a short time to play with.  It is virtually blind for low light (even indoors in my house, which is kinda dark to begin with).  It is easy to focus in normal or bright light.  For the price, I am very satisfied.  This will never take the place of a \"real\" digital camera, but is more than sufficient for the purposes I wanted it for.

Just a heads-up.  SL-5600 users probably want to use the camera software package that came on the CD-ROM.  The version on the CD-ROM is -3 while -1 can be downloaded.  The only real difference (from what I can tell) is that photos can be saved in flash memory with -3, while the -1 only let me save to my SD-card...not internal flash.  Photo quality is still crap indoors

offroadgeek, did you end up ordering 10 of those cameras?  I would be interested in purchasing one from you.  I\'\'m in the USA so I can pay ground mail.   Also I\'m wondering if anyone knows or can guess whether it would be compatible with the 5600

just saw meangene\'s post so I guess 5600 use seems plausible.

Do they ship worldwide?

It is $25 right now, and I\'d like to buy it, but I\'m afraid they don\'t ship it to Europe or that the S&H is too expensive, would anyone send it to me?

Bye!

bluey,   E-mail me and we can try to work out details if you are interested.  I am located in Oklahoma USA.  I have a sister in Norway if you are close, that way I could include it in one of her \"care\" packages.

Had a quick play with this on the C750. Works fine except for one minor detail. Does not save anything. Tried selecting a couple of locations, but no luck.

Any ideas ?

Are drivers/software needed to make it work on an 860? Where can you get the software?
