I have a C760 running Cacko 1.22 that I just recently installed. I was using the Cacko feed to install a bunch of software such as binutils, gaim, zsafe, kismet, etc. A day later, I installed more stuff like gnu tar, and some other apps.
I got bored quickly, so then I loaded Apache and cvs. Everything was going great so far. Then, I decided to load some games... big mistake. I loaded ztailgunner, qpe-asteroids, interstellar flame, solitare, crimson fields. While doing this, I installed the network monitor applet and frodo/frodogui.
Some of the games didn't work at all. Ztailgunner wouldn't turn off, even hitting the "on" button didn't work since the sound kept playing. Doom didn't even show up after install. Frodo also wouldn't stop. I did turn off the magnified view for many of these apps too.
So, I started uninstalling things that didn't work right. Well, now when I hit the "on" button to go into suspend mode, I cannot wake up again. The "on" button is totally being ignored. The only way to turn it back on again is to pull the battery and reboot.
Does anyone know what's going on here. Is there a way from the cmd line I can fix this?
I was under the assumption, and probably a false assumption at that, that applications in the Cacko feed would probably work on the Cacko ROM. That apparently isn't exactly the case... or maybe some apps just need some tweaks to run properly. Whatever the deal is, is there somewhere that lists the reliability of certain apps in the feed. If not, would it be difficult to set up an area with user feedback for these apps so we can rate them, share tips, etc.
I suppose I could stop being lazy and go to each apps homepage, but I think it'd be cool to have a centralized place for this type of info... maybe there is and I'm just ignorant to it. It'd also be very cool if the installation tool had a column for a rating so you could see it just before you download.
Thanks
