5500 Stopped Working

Hi,
I made a "backup battery" by hooking 4 1.2V AA batteries together. Worked perfectly, until I left Z on until both the internal and external batteries went empty and it simply turned off.

The problem is it won't start again. I tried cleaning the keyboard, that wasn't the problem. The battery light doesn't switch off when Z is plugged in power - it used to turn off normally when the battery was full. I tried to flash (OZ 3.5.2), it went without problems, according to the LEDs, but I still can't turn the thing on. What may be possible causes of this? I used 4x1.2 batteries, so there's no way it would blow the charger or something, right? Or may it be something different?

Would be a pity if it was really broken, since I only had it for like 3 months...

Have you tried going into the diagnostic menus?

D + P, while tapping reset?

On pressing D, P and reset both LEDs come on, they still stay on after 20 minutes, and that's all. Didn't try that before though.
