Wellenreiter Ii Deaf As A Post? Why?

I've got an SL-5500 running OpenZaurus 3.5.3 (Collie) with an Ambicom WL1100CF wireless card, and have installed the updated Wellenreiter. It works (no driver version mismatch), but when I run the sniffer, I get nothing. I have tried this at work, where there are at least 3 wireless networks (including the one in my office, which is not stealthed), and at home, where there are 2 or 3 (including my home wlan, which is stealthed).

In both situations, wellenreiter scans, but does not detect any wireless LANs. I have even gotten the Zaurus within a foot or two of my WAP at home, and within 10 of the WAP at work.

Am I missing some configuration item? I have gone through it, made sure it is pointed to HostAP, and even tried changing the capture file from /var to /home/root, but wellenreiter never detects any packets...

In this case, Wellenreiter is scanning, and this laptop is on the wireless, and I am surfing the net.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Try running it on the console and paste the output of a complete run + a start/stop cycle.

Looks fairly well except that you need to use wlan0 as the sniffing device. wifi0 is just a control device. Try that.
