i am a PC linux user and feel very compelled to buy a zaurus c1000 or c3000, especially after reading through this forum and the openzaurus project site.
question: is the c1000's battery life significantly longer than the 3000? I am leaning towards the 1000 model because SD media storage is getting very good and I have an external mass storage HDD MP3 player I guess I could easily hook up via USB (40 GB there ). I also noticed that the 1000 wattage is 2.3, while 3000 goes for 3.2 - does this mean the battery life of 1000 is much longer?
also, could someone give me an estimate of the battery life the symbol low power wifi card takes up?
also, can I simply install most of the software i need (apache, php, mysql, etc.) in an SD card and launch them from there via the terminal?
