Sl-c3000 Won't Boot
« on: May 08, 2005, 04:55:47 am »
I have installed OZ rom for it.

I was installing some programs and i saw HD led flashing all the time and using was a bit slow. I removed the battery and pressed reset pin.
Powered on and while booting it says:

Mounting hda1.
EXT3-fs: journal inode is deleted
mount: Mounting /dev/hda1 on /media/hdd failed: Invalid argument

I can see my partitions with fdisk.
Hard drive seems to be ok I think but has something messed the inode?

There's nothing important on the device and it should be ok with installing the rom again.

I just would like to hear a solution to fix it somehow without flashing the rom

It should be possible to boot into emergency Linux using the D+B boot option, from there you could e2fsck the /dev/hda1 device and even tune2fs -j to add the journal again.

I wouldn't recommend it though. /dev/hda1 holds the read only Zaurus image. I reflash if I was you.
